Default Brace of Deflection still bugged

Brace of Deflection is still bugged, and its proc engages you into combat.

You can be running along, attacked by magic, and instantly put into combat by the Brace of Deflection.

When are they going to fix this? Can't Aeralik put a no hate flag on this item like he did locket of escape? I can't tell you how many times I've died due to this stupidness.

And asking me to remove my shield every time I'm out pvp'ing, and make sure I equip it before I'm ready to engage, is a silly proposition. Please fix!

This might help in squashing the bug- if you engage in combat with someone and this item procs, then you kill the person before its finished absorbing the full 1000 damage, the invisible ward stays on your character and will put you into combat the next time you are attacked by anybody.

Even removing the shield and re-equipping it is not enough to remove this "invisible" buff.

Other items and buffs are still doing this as well.
Enspelled Vultak Eye
Lich, Archlich, Demilich (when they tick for the power increase/hp drain)
Shaman regenerating ward group buff

Aeralik looked at this a long time ago and said he put in a fix and he wasn't sure if it would work. Well, it didn't work.

This is what needs to happen.

When your target dies, the ward that it procs needs to completely disappear from your character, so that it doesn't put you into combat when the next person you come across attacks you.

It certainly can't be that difficult to have the ward removed when your target dies.

And the first time you fight two people and that extra ward would have saved your arse? But you got it changed and so as you kill one player, the ward disappears and the second one kills you with only 2 hitpoints left. Are you then going to complain again?

Make it not work if you aren't in-combat. Not in-combat? Ignore the ward.

I just don't want the brace engaging the users in combat. Nothing in the game should engage you in combat except when you decide on your own volition that you should start healing or fighting back.

Just give it the Right Click > Cancel option. That's enough of a "fix" for me. Like Slyk mentioned, it's not just your shield, it's all ward proc items and some buffs. Though I thought regenerating wards were fixed when they stopped regenerating while you were not engaged?

This whole in-combat / out-of-combat bullshit needs to be taken out of EQ2. It's so fucked up right now its not even funny. You know, keep it simple, stupid. OMGZ, you had a ward up from your previous PVE battle when you got attacked, lets remove all your run speed buffs and make it impossible to zone, so your not quite so hard to gank, umkay? Please. Run speed is run speed. Snare, root and stifle all exist in this game, so do pumice stones, etc. Why the hell do all combat mechanics have to change drastically just by taking a defensive action? It's rediculous. Of course, no one will fix this, it'll keep getting crappier and crappier.

make mages cast spells on movement then, b/c its next to impossible to land a spell on running on 50% boost mounted scout. He is basically 50m away from you when you finish the cast

Yeah the best and most hilarious part of being in combat is that you suddenly forget how to climb a wall rofl! Let us climb walls in combat please! Make it drop our avoidance to 0 or whatever (rofl at being able to block a kb while climbing up to get someone!), just let me climb incombat gd.

Or just remove the whole mechanic of in and out of combat. It is kind of wierd that you lose the will to run fast when you engage someone....
