PvP factions need to be totally scrapped, imo. A token system that spanned tiers (and scaled with them, both in terms of number of tokens dropped and token cost for PvP items) would be more than fine.

Additionally, abolish the Fame system and have the current Fame titles be purchasable with tokens too. They'd be permanent and could be toggled on or off like any other title. Everything after Dreadnaught or Champion could be really fucking catass expensive, like a General title requiring 500k tokens or some shit, just to appease the PvP catassers who scream WTF NO TITALZ = NO CHALENg whenever any rational human being with some modicum of social skill steps forward to say "uh, hey, fame's broken."

Also I'm going to fucking nut myself over all the fake IAM CANCLD MY AKOUNMT when leveling locking either goes away or has its value horrifically degraded in the next LU. And telling faggots who still try to pull the "experience all the content" line to GO ROLL PVE will be masturbation material well into 2009.

No one found a way around the removal of XP debt. Wanna know why? Because the fix was drastic enough to actually work.

Personally I'm betting the change will be PvP kills always granting PvE-equivalent, rested-if-it's-available XP, no matter if combat XP is on or off. Spend a night PvPing with full rested and you'll gain two levels, maybe more if you're low-tier.

There are other possibilities, like just completely removing level-locking, or grossly lowering the by-level AA cap. One of these alternate fixes might even be better, because if the probable fix goes in, there's just going to be more faggot "avoid combat at all costs" runners as they're desperate to cap AA each level before even attempting to PvP.

It's an important fix and combined with the ludicrous TD loot and AA rewards, will definitely help newbies ease into the game.

You know, I play T7 (now T8 I guess) PVP and I recently started up another toon, who is presently in T2 - working up slowly to get as many AA and quests done as possible. Other than missing a few of my abilities (that just get upgraded over and over again tier to tier), I see no difference between being level 12 and level 62 (and now 70, the new 60). I still get ganked by oranges repeatedly, I still pwn yellows in a clean 1v1, and a group of blues and greens still tear me apart. There are more people to group with and actively pvp and quest with, and the quests are better orgainzed in zones like DLW and the newby zones, making jumping in with someone you bump into in a quest area more likely to be on the same quests you are...

In any case, I jump on my lowby twink when I'm tired of grinding solo up to 80 and want to feel like I can accomplish something in my limited playtime rather than standing around KP docks /LFG or getting 0.01% exp per mob and 1% exp per quest I grind out solo. I'd probably quit the stupid game if I no longer had the ability to log in and jump on my low teen alt and play for an hour or two and either rack up 30 or so solo pvp kills or group up and grind out an aa or two.

Its about being able to feel like you accomplish something in the time you have to play. There is plenty easy fodder trying desperately to level through the low 70's, so I don't know what the raid equipped uuber twink 80's are crying about whenever the subject of "locking omgz wtf?!?" comes up.

Thus, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. If you enjoy ganking greys to low greens all day now that your 80 and all fabled out, fine. I'm not going to start post after post about how raid and pvp gear needs to be brought in line with mastercrafted to give people new to T8 a chance, so leave locking alone.
