XP gain on pvp would be the simplest and most realistic fix for it. I mean, you kill 1000 people and somehow you don't "advance" at all?

Yea but if that's the case it'd be really hard to get PVP gear below level 70. It takes so many kills to get the faction to get the gear that by the time you got the faction the gear would be pointless.

They'd need to change the faction req's if they turn XP on for PvP kills... levelling on nothing but PvP kills back in the day I was level 37 by the time I could get the lvl 20 gear.

Wait, I lie, I levelled from 19 to 22 on mobs and some PvP. wanted my steel gear.

True. The faction requirements need to be revisited in general. They are waaaaay too high for low lvl gear.
