Monks have knockbacks, stifles and stuns also, and even FEAR and Heal and drag only works like for 1.5 sec or something.

Once again i am asking you guys to stop looking at in-combat run speed's offensive capabilities.

Do you guys absolutly see nothing wrong with a monk just Tsunaming and running away at 70% from any fight he is going to lose?

If no, then i wont bother anymore with this...

Pett quit stalking me tbh...
I see nothing wrong with it. Then again I'm not in a token whore faction. I PvP for the fun in a fight, and if a monk is sprinting away from me, then that's good enough for me.

Assassins and rangers have improved sprint as well as 12-second parry, which serves the same purpose as Tsunami when sprinting away.

If you don't want people to escape, then the first target is... "Escape." That should go first.

Bruisers also have a heal, and a fear, and they get a mezz which monks don't. Bruisers get an extra knockback, and have a teleport.

The monk fear is level 50, and so it gets resisted a hell of a lot. It also has a 30% chance to dispel on hit, which means very fast for a monk. (and there's no T8 update for it)

Sure, we can tsunami+sprint away, except it doesn't really do that much. In the end, people will usually find you and you'll be out of power, and out of tsunami.

If this were to be nerfed, they're would be no way for a monk to win a fight if the opponent decides to kite (if the monk isn't specced Stamina). As it is, it can be fairly difficult if someone is skilled at kiting, so the sprint helps... enough... if you know how to use it.

But to be quite honest, take away our 70% sprint, and give us a fucking snare in return, I'll be more than happy.

Tsunami parrys or reposts MELEE attacks, so a monk pops tsunami and run ? Range him you dumbass.

Enhanced sprint will make him have 65% runspeed in PvP combat. Then if you are an even remotely decent scout, you'll have the snare poison that snares at 45% or more (dunno T8 version) and is UNCURABLE, wich will give you a very long time to kill the running monk with your ranged auto attack. If you are not remotely decent, then are you good enough to use your scout snare ? Or will you have wasted it before when the monk was in melee range anyway so you realy didn't need it ?

Freedom of action doesn't imune against snares, it actualy IS a snare and only imunes against fear and root.

If tsunami is like the warrior AA for dragoon's then even auto attack ranged wont hit...basically anything physical based is parried. Btw kerran have a 50% in combat or out of combat run speed buff, 30ish sec duration and 5 min recast and only takes like 80 power to cast.

Also - Forgive me if I'm wrong. But doesn't Tsunami only parry / riposete attacks from a frontal position? On PVE at least it says Parries all in a frontal arc and that attacks from other area's have the same % to be parried. Monk runs? Yeah, range the bitch down while he's turned his back.

Tsunami is 100% riposte/parry. Riposte of ANY sort can only be accomplished while facing your opponent. This holds true with tsunami as well, however if you aren't facing them you will still parry any other incoming melee attacks.

PS for mattmandude - Our fear didn't get upgraded into a whole new combat art, however it did receive an upgrade to the existing "Instill panic". It went from being "Resistability increases on targets higher than level 70" to now "increases on targets higher than level 98". I think its 98, could be wrong, that was off the top of my head.

PROTIP: Run after him.

If you're skillful, you'll catch him with no power and no tsunami. Easy mode.

A monk has nothing for ranged really. Monks having sprint is just a way to have a fighting chance against ranged attackers at the cost of more power.

Sure some monks will run away, but some scouts/sk's/casters evac, some druids cheeta off, some classes always have something another class thinks is unfair.
