I beat him to General on Venekor, disco'd the pvp armor before he did. I also didn't cry in teamspeak, nor do I use miracles in one v one fights.

Just go with a swashy partner. Swashbucklers have reach and 3 snares, which means if they are good can pwn melee face while the other person is out of range a good part of the time.
