I'll share my own pvp/pve experience with you and maybe this can help you with your issue. A few guildies and myself decided to try out pvp about 5 months after Naggy started up, we absolutely LOVED it, loved the adrenaline rush, the challenge and the excitement that comes from the pvp environment, it became an entirely different game. It was the perfect combo for us, we all played Unreal Tournament before playing EQ2 and pvp seemed like a nice mix of both game styles. We thought we were done with pve and never looked back.
After about 9 months on Naggy we noticed we kinda missed being able to just quest and harvest without the stress of always having to look over our shoulders and always being on edge. We missed boring, casual ole pve LOL. I had considered selling off a few of my toons, granted none of them were raid equipped but I do have many capped out crafters and I am so grateful I kept them.
We still dabble around on pvp occasionally but nothing like before. We loved this game first as a pve game and I think that's why we could never commit fully to pvp. If we had came to EQ2 strictly for the pvp it may have been a different story but I guess we were all carebear, blue server pve'ers at heart.
My advice to you is to just close your third account, give it some time and if you still feel the same way in 6 months then consider selling it off.
