I don't know that this statement makes sense? Three snares, one unresistable, and fettering? You can root them sure, but what decent player isn't gonna just use a pot? Then you are backing up, much slower than the swashy, and taking insane damge from reach?!?! |

Hmm plate armor plus an ability that lets you take half damage for 30 seconds, not to mention turmoil does 200-600 per hit in pvp and is basically what inspiration was pre-nerf. Boomerang Bandolier PVP reward item is doubling the range of reach, letting swashbucklers attack from 20 meters away. Now THIS is overpowered. I don't have this item, but every swashbuckler I've spoken with has said it does NOT stack with reach. Now, since I don't have it I can only speculate.. but if you look, Reach does NOT double our range. it's only an 80% increase:
Are you sure it's not possible that the boomerang effect is overwriting Reach (giving 20% extra length on range) temporarily and this extra length is what's getting you?
If it DOES stack with Reach as you say, well that is retarded. Walk the Plank, I believe, hits for around 22 meters with Reach. That'd be 44 meters on the range of our root?
Maybe they should make it:
Increases melee attack range by 100%
- If not Reach Specced
Increases Combat Art Damage by 200
- If Reach Specced
I think that'd probably be a pretty fair trade off, because Swashies hitting at 20 meters sounds retarded.
