SK is only as powerful as the person playing it. I was talking to kradun earlier and said it's a very easy class to be OK on.. it's a very hard class to be exceptional on. Play it, figure out your own tactics. There are things that people can help you with, Symbiotic is likely the best PvP SK on all the servers and knows his shit, he's a nice guy and will help you quite a bit if ask the right questions and catch him at the right time.
Things are weird right now in this game, SK is a very gear dependent class... dmg is not scaling the way it did in KoS against the gear people have available at this time... knowing which gear to use when fighting different people. Remember, you can be a TANK in a PvP group, or you can be a solo PvP'er they are different animals, and are geared differently, when you get more experience you'll figure that out. Of course you can macro all your gear now, so it'll be easy to swap on the fly.
