It's not that what he was talking about, it's that raid with all classes available is the normal way designed to raid. So faction's raids are harder because they don't have all classes.

Re: Is there ever a chance at having all classes in both faction on Nagafen?
its not about making raids easy of w/e having all classes on each faction would basically balance the server for pvp.
make it where good classes have to betray they cant just roll a new pally on fp or w/e. also dont give these people any class merchants. make them have to get all their spells made adept3.
one of the biggest problems in pvp is the class differences, one month brigs are OP next its swashes and illusionists. rangers have always been kinda OP. and fighting a 6 v 6 with against a templar isnt really even, unless people wanna pop bristlebane god abilities every fight when a templar can use it every couple minutes...
this would be thing biggest fix to pvp there is, no side can complain oh well you guys have this OP class, well both sides would have it, roll with one if you dont like to get killed by one.
(i really just wanna be a ranger again) but for real this would really be a huge fix to pvp.

Re: Is there ever a chance at having all classes in both faction on Nagafen?
Sanctuary PWNS both in raid, and PvP. If I had to list one spell that is just ZOMG!! for a group fight it would be this one.
These aren't really bitch, or whine threads, imo. What we have is an awesome game that was designed only for PVE. Most of us old-timers have seen so many things change over the last couple years. That's because the devs are slowly, slowly tuning the game for PvP as well. Aeralik is doing a great job too! Since I'm been seeing his name around, alot of really important issues have been fixxed. For people to say "just leave it alone" is not looking at the big picture. It's in everyones best interest for the folks who have pvped on Naggy for so long, and many of us on several different classes, to keep up the input. Hopefully we wll continue to see the PvP aspect of this game improve.

If SoE could hold onto their developers there probably wouldn't be a problem. Well, I take that back. The company has proven time and time again that it will bow down before the masses. Every time, if enough people complain about something, it will be changed....even if its not needed. Therefore, being a big cause for the unbalance that we have now.
Now for this thread's argument, I do know what is being said and why. I've played EQ2 since release and before that EQ1 since its release.
- Do I agree to allowing every class be at the disposal of any faction? No.
- Do I agree to having the sub-class, alter ego shit removed and combine them? Yes
That may sound contradicting as hell but keep in mind I, along with many of you, played EQ1 for a long time.
Even in EQ1 you had your 100% Evil Classes and You Had your 100% Good Classes. It has been a long time since I played eq1 but if memory serves correct, Necromancer and Shadow Knight were pure evil. Their good counterparts, Magicians and Paladins.
So, yes, I could agree to it but with limitations. After EQ1, Sony got into these little alter-egos, good vs evil shit hard core. Splitting one type of class into two, making them be on one side or another (For most classes at least, as well as races).
Either way, in the end, PvP is completely centered around Roleplaying whether or not we wish to go along with it.

I thought a quest they could put into game that lets say a illus could do.He/she does quest and when he zones into a raid zone that person has the option to change his class into a coercer. When raid is finished and he calls he would be a illus again.
His spells would be the same strenth, gear shouldnt be much of a prob as most gear is either illus/coercer gear anyway. I know its just a dream but that sure would be fun.

Which is why it wont happen.
Would be fun way of giving all classes without having to worry about heading back to the city.

Re: Is there ever a chance at having all classes in both faction on Nagafen?
I voted exile ffa pvp ftw. Could never go back to a faction.
I was pretty impressed with what europa did in freeport. I had convinced myself that a faction would never clear eof and they came damn close. Clearing fth wasnt so much about difficulty but more about how much retardedness you could handle before you called the raid.
Raiding in a faction was a long, painful, unfulfilling experience. Was in some great guilds and alliances but the classes just didnt have what it took. I havent done a spell by spell breakdown but Im fairly certain freeport has better offensive debuffs. This expansion is all about the offensive debuffs cause these mobs are tuned to t8 mit gear.

Re: Is there ever a chance at having all classes in both faction on Nagafen?
I've played in raid guilds of all three allignments, and I'd trade every brigand on the PvP servers for 3 illusionists and 2 templar. Every fucking one of them. Defensive debuffs aren't worth shit if you're already dead. The increased survivability between an inquisitor and a templar in the MT group is so huge its not even funny. The stoneskins, the extra proc chance (increasing stoneskins from both the templar AND the dirge (who also increases proc chance)) the lotto heals the fact that their heals can be AA enhanced, while the inquisitors cannot... Templar are just miles ahead of Inquisitors for MT duties. Same deal with Illusionists vs Coercers. Any more than one coercer and you're wasting a spot. Yet Illusionists can do quite well in the MT group, and kick arse in DPS groups. Lets not even start talking about the SK vs Paladin debate.
As for offensive debuffs... why bother? We have PvE raiding guilds telling us that their tanks are getting insta-killed by double-attacks. If they can't debuff mobs to a point that they can survive when they have all classes, what the fuck are one-faction raid guilds gonna do? Sure brigands have some great defensive debuffs. If your tank is already dead though, who cares?
Exile is easy mode, but Qeynos is certainly not hard mode.

been wanting this since i first exiled over a year and a half ago. Exile always will be the best faction in this game. Just a shame the way sony does things. Fuck all the roleplaying bullshit too. I wish theyd just get rid of the dumbass subclass system all together.
