Pls explain it to me...

i (lvl 28) was fighting a lvl 31 scout (non-heroic!!) in Thundering Steppes when a lvl 37 druid came along and started spamhealing on the scout. So no chance to win. How could this happen? Pvp-range is 8 lvl in TS but the druid could heal?

Maybe the reason is - their guild was O M E N .... but this cannot be everything..

Because you can heal out of group regardless of the level~

Can you attack out of group regardless of level? If a L10 player is attacking a L12 mob, I can jump in and attack the mob as long as they don't have their encounters locked. Is this possible in PVP combat too?

I'm not quite sure what you're asking, but you don't get locked in PvP combat.

If two level 10s are fighting you can help the one from your side

Yeah, I didn't word that question very well, but that is exactly what I was wondering. I ran into the "can't attack because you are mentored" thing this past weekend, so have been trying to learn a bit more about pvp combat mechanics.

Well you can't attack anything at all in PvP if you are mentored...

It's not QUITE regardless of the level, the healer must be within the zone's given level range of the player they are attempting to heal. It's still really gay to be in say an 8 level range zone, to fight a player 8 levels higher than you and have a healer 8 levels higher than THEM heal them out of group.

Best to just level to 80. =)

Yeah, we discovered that the hard way - I was mentored to 17 and we went to go jack a templar... only to see that I couldn't attack while mentored. Luckily, the temp couldn't see invis and my wife hadn't started casting yet. lol

The level 31 scout was within the 8 level range to the 37 druid, so the druid was able to heal. If the druid was level 40+, then he would not have been able to heal the scout in that level range.

No they changed that Faabs, but they were within the lvl range of the zone a 31, and a 38, so 7 lvl difference in a 8 lvl zone.
