Default Nerf shrink please

It is insane how small some players are able to shrink, thanks mostly to LON items and the 4 year Billy account reward.

It seems to me that people are shrinking smaller than one quarter or less of their actual size. This makes it next to impossible to target them, and is just another thing that people exploit and manipulate for advantage. I swear to God, I was fighting a dude yesterday in cat form that was no bigger than a rat. This guy was so small I couldn't target him with my cursor directly on him, let alone my tab or command keys.

When done by scouts able to make you drop your target frequently, this is a serious problem in PVP. It gives them all the advantages, by making it so they can attack you and maintain a target on you at will, but they can escape without death literally 100% of the time when they start losing.

I feel like I'm always defending myself but only rarely killing anyone. As it stands now, I estimate I get kill credit for less than 1 in 5 scouts that attack me and start losing. This shit needs to end, it sucks ass and isn't fun. I'm sick of only being able to fight and stay alive, PVP should involve a situation where one person generally wins, and another dies, in every fight. You know? Two men enter, one man leaves? It isn't like that at all. Right now, it's all about two men enter, one pussy runs. This shit sucks ass for non scouts and those not in the "running" classes.

Let's get PVP back on track to give the advantage to those with the best skill and gear please, and not to those willing and able to manipulate game mechanics to the greatest degree possible, such as by making themselves untargetable by stacking multiple shrink devices.

I suggest limiting shrink so that nobody may shrink down to less than 50% of their starting size.

I think only one shrink item should be allowed to be active at one time, and that illusions (other than the moppet disguise) should overwrite them.

I recently (yesterday morning if I recall correctly) encountered a brigand with the moppet disguise and the cat totem stacked together, and could not acquire a target with my PvP target buttons until they were within their own melee range. (note that being a swashbuckler this kind of targetting generates alot of hassle.)

As a scout, I can deal with this to an extent. I may not be able to target, but I can track and look in the right direction at least. Considering classes like mages, particularly conjurors and necros who really just can't catch a break, well that makes me just cringe at the imbalance this brings to the game.

Players that want to shrink because it makes them a small target? That's cool, that's just smart thinking. "Hey, I'm the healer, let's make it a bit easier to hide behind someone else in a fight!" Yeah, I can go for that. People that realized shrink could be stacked and used to interefere with targetting? Well, I'd prefer they die in a fire but it just wouldn't be a multiplayer game without people like that, I guess. Shrink needs to be cut down to a reasonable level or targetting needs to work properly for all sizes. I think just about all of the pvp playerbase agrees that a targetting issue needs to be addressed. It has now become a matter of waiting for a dev to address it.

No there's a better way. Want to shrink by 50% for fun and games? Good, but stats, pools, and base combat art/spell damage also decrease by 50%.

Sigh, I am never a fan of anyone who complains about game mechanics. Not everyone has LoN items, nor do they have the 4 year rewards. Not everyone can get them either. This doesn't shift the balance of the game out of control...I fight with my billy item on 100% of the time. I have fought people with them being so small that you had to be close, and god forbid your settins were still set for raids because I bet they wouldn't render if i was away from them. That said I do not ever agree with calling something so simple to counter a unfair advantage.

So it would take the brig who's run ontop of me with shrink like 8 whole seconds to kill me instead of 4? No. make the targetting work right. (I do enjoy the creativity though, don't get me wrong. )

Of course if we went by volume and not by a linear amount, he would have only 1/8 the stats and take 32 whole seconds to kill you.

Are you fucking retarded? If they nerf shrink on PvE I'll quit, period. I also realize this is a PvP mechanics post but we all know that they always fuck over PvE to fix PvP, so yeah.

i hate this too. it completely skews the PvP dynamic for many classes.

simple fix: minimum cap on player size on PvP servers. 80% of a natural halfling. no illusion or shrink effect can take you smaller than that height.

I wonder if they could have illusions <poof> when you go into combat like you horse does in water? That way they could preserve some form of utility (easier to sneak attack) without further affects to combat.
