Daimyo
FYI, Cyst is only 71, will be 72 in oh, 8 kills, or two quests so I havn't used the Dispersion yet. Instead I've been fighting 80s from 69-71 now with him.

i wasn't aware that player cast roots or snares were uncurable. thanks for the info. it must suck to be a caster that has no way to root or snare someone back when they get hit with these control effects...
(p.s. yes i know fettering poison is uncurable, and i support it being changed, however that doesnt proc on command though like a cast CA/spell)

If they cure root, they can't cure snare, or vice versa.
If they drink an immunity potion, use Pumice Stone, it removes it almost every time. Fettering poison isn't the only uncurable snare, tinkered snare and roots are also uncurable.
Even still, a caster can't do any auto attack damage so they have to be able to cure stifle, stun, snare, root, et cetera to continue to use manashield once it's fired.
So if you use snare/root immunity, you can't use stun/stifle immunity, vice versa. So you're left with Cure Arcane, or Cure Trauma depending on what's used.
How many classes can remove Manashield with debuffs? Not including Pumice Stones which are not as effective now. There is another option too, Bottle of Ether is a very long mesmerize that everyone in the game can use. I HATE EVEN GIVING THIS INFORMATION OUT!!
Also fear works great too. I had a Inqy prevent me from getting off manashield early one morning.

You're leaving signets out of your immunity item list.

I really don't give a fuck if it gets nerfed or not, anything to have all these dumb asses shut up when they don't have a single unbiased clue as to what is going on.

You know what is strange is that when the wiz/lock starts casting a direct damage spell and you break target or get our of line of sight.. you still get hit.. because I have tried your snare and run tactic with little effect..
Only way imo for scouts to even stand a chance is to use mental breach poision and hope their temp bufffs are up..

That's the one thing I LOVE about casters. If I start casting a spell on you, and you move out of my LoS, or Range, it still hits you. That's why before you run, you need to start off with a stun, stifle, or interrupt.
I will admit, I can't kill Arcanias YET on my Ranger, but I'm still only 79 on him. I'm hoping once I get the CoA or Maidens bow, I can better judge his strength.
But oddly enough, I got him in the red on Cyst in Terens Grasp when Cyst was only 70. /cry

Stun, snare etc and run are joke tactics to get out of range from a nuking sorceror. Especially if you can't break target or get out of line of sight.. The only sensible way to kill a sorcerors is to use the broken mental breach poisons.. and/or hope for some luck and use a pumice stone.

This mechanic is broken imo.. a lot of classes do not get interupts and with immunity potions/signets... stun/stifle isn't a serious problem.
Combined with focus casting, focus gear and other anti-stun/interupt aa/abilities and you have teh new flavor of the month. Sorcerors with manashield+dispersion who in the right hands are close to impossible to kill..
BTW: If you kept up to date and knew your stuff on bows, (which you should as a ranger) you would realise T7 bow+T7 ammo >> T8 bow + T7 ammo..

I didn't have the key, T7 bows. I actually sold my Bylze bow before I realized that's what everyone was using. Currently I use the bow out of Riliss and I out parse anyone using a T7 bow, just don't don't come close to those with the CoA, Maidens, or PvP bow.

Actually, there is no way you can out-parse somebody with a Rigid Scale Bow if you both have the same buffs and gear other than the bow(provided you both are of equal skill level). And people saying T7 bow are dumb, Rigid Scale Bow is the only Bow that matters, not T7 bows, but Rigid Scale Bow.
