i am sure its intended, it's not the only item like this. the item has a proc with multiple effects tied to it. they are all sub-effects of the single proc going off. if the proc cannot land on a mob, no part of it will work.

most of the PvP token gear is now better than T8 raid gear for most classes, and in many instances is FAR better in PvP. quit your bitching about some epic restriction.

answer me this: why should you even be able to get gear that's better than VP loot that comes off some assbeatingly hard mobs, just for running around solo or in a small group and killing a few hundred random scrubs? i can't think of a good answer to this, maybe you can. go ahead and kill Silverwing once or twice and i'll stop bitching about how easy it is to get this powerful PvP gear.

When I signed up for this server I'm pretty sure it said PvP next to it. Why should we have to raid to get gear on a PvP server? Didn't you make some long drawn out post about getting exiles gear and writs and all that?

It doesn't seem to farfetched that a piece of PvP gear might have some PvE limitations.

Your question is whether this is intended... and you're asking that question on EQ2Flames... perhaps not the best location if you're looking for reasoned, well formulated responses.

Certainly not the best if you're looking for an official answer.

By now, you have to have received pretty much the response you MUST have expected on these forums.

Anyway, looks like its working exactly as intended to me.

i dont pvp much because i play primarily for raids now. i do have an AA mirror though, and when i get a few pcs of critical gear that i want i'll probably head out again more. who knows. i used to pvp all the time when i was in a city on my old characters. /shrug

You chose to exile and restrict yourself to only raid gear. PVP gear has been close / same as raid gear for almost a year now. You really have no room to complain man, you knew damn well before you exiled that the exile faction is supposed to be tough and you're going to be at a disadvantage. Hell, exile faction wasn't even meant to be permanent, but you got that going for so you can raid whatever you want with ease since you have 24 classes.

I would like to see this list of PvP Gear in RoK that is so much better than VP loot. Seriously, show me.
Oh wait Marksman, 2hander Sword maybe and the Axe maybe. and um that's about it ya?
On the other hand I know of items that drop in HEROIC zones one of them in a damn Dungeon off a cake of a named that I have yet to see a better Raid piece to replace it.
On the off chance There are other items on the PvP Merchant that are uber, they must not be dirge-usable as that is all I've been looking at tbh.
From my stand point, Boomerang & Admiral's Chain are about the only PvP items that have more than 0 use in a Raid. Sure the Embalmer's Wrap is decent and the Sustaining Chord is fairly nice, but there are better replacements for them from Solo-able Quests and Heroic nameds that everyone has access to.

Admiral's Chain is broken, as is apparently the Battlerager Hat. Makes no sense that a beneficial proc "does not affect epic targets", you're not buffing the fucking mob. I can see the Interrupt not affecting epic targets, makes sense. But negating the entire proc just because of that is borderline stupidity.

You can raid up to silverwing in a faction I am pretty sure. T2 is the hardpart as you do need 24 ppl on at the same time that don't suck (yes I know that is hard to come by in a faction).
