I would really love to dig up posts, if i had the time, with Darkhand flamming me when they where exile about pvp gear vs raid gear....

I don't think that PVP gear should meet or exceed the BEST raid gear in the game. This game has raid content for a reason. I would have no problem with PVP gear being on par with the non-set piece/avatar gear in the game.

Until you see the difficulty of getting 7 pieces of raid-set gear, weapons, and rings then you can't talk either.

I took my Brigand to FP and within a week I had 3 pieces of PVP gear. After a few weeks, I had almost a full set of gear + weapons+ some jewelry. There's no raid guild in th e game that progresses this quickly.

You talk about the rigid scale bow? Yeh that was overpowered, but... it was also the END GAME reward for killing Woushi in EH. Are you saying that Katsuo should have the same bow b/c he'll zerg you for 30 minutes until you finally say, fuck it, and give him a chest?

There's nothing skillfull about token farming bots either. That's how most people get their full set of pvp gear.

Just as an example, we have 4 brigands in Onyx. There have been 3 set pieces that have dropped in VP since we began raiding VP. So, that's not even 1 piece/brig (if they were distributed in this fashion) in the last month.

If we were in a faction, we would have hundreds of tokens saved up already.

On a side note, I bet 90% of the 80s in the factions don't even have a full set of pvp gear at this time, next year.

Not only did they not implement PVP armor, like promised..but

NO PVP CHANGES WHATSOEVER.

That's what is so upsetting about the upcoming LU. PVP once again ignored and forgotten by SOE. The fact that some of the devs took extended holidays right after Christmas combined with the fact that this LU is being released LATE makes the situation even worse.

How long must we wait for PVP armor and PVP bug fixes? Couldn't the developers put at least ONE pvp fix in the upcoming LU? Being ignored completely is a great way to lose customers.

As usual the dev's have dropped the ball if what was reported on the test server notes is complete and no pvp changes are brought in. Be nice for just fucking once if the dev's gave us what the have been promising...and still no mention of the promised guild halls as well...

As to the remark bout most not being able to aquire a full set of pvp gear before next year...kinda depends on how you use your time I had 5 pieces myself but put pvp on hold to concentrate on raiding...prob be same as last time..but thats if they give us the pvp gear.

Actually, as Taear also pointed out...

The update notes they posted seem to only include what's on the test server right now. Anything PvP related can't be tested there anyways.

Other (more PvE related) things that I think were supposed to be on the list are also still lacking, such as Erollisi day and the epic weapons.

So in conclusion: The update notes for LU42 are probably not complete yet.

Sorry but i'm going to have to call BULL SHIT here... even in T7 th einitial 3 pieces were what? 200+200+250? = 650 tokens..

So you telling me you got ~90 tokens/day for a week?

You either: -

didn't sleep and had a grp declining every token for you
Slept and had your char online 24/7 with a grp declinging for you

Please don't try and trivialise the pvp armor and the tim eit takes to collect enough for the T8 gear. 300 minimum for the starter gear would take you at least 1 week to get if you went out to PvP every day... all day.. which is comparable to raiding..

I know I collect around 30-40 tokens a day if I pvp hard and am lucky to catch a few smaller grps around...

I have spoken to kruhl in the past and he claims to only get around 40-50 tokens a day and he plays alot (maybe he can validate that)... further proof your numbers are fictional..

I read on the official boards that they have moved the release date for pvp writs and pvp armour to 5th of February.. so hopefully we dont have too wait for too long =) and i heard romours it will take between 500-1000 tokens per piece.. (hopefully this aint impossible with writs)
