Ok i didnt do T8 writs last night, as i didnt want to deal with the couple of x2 raids running around kylong.

So i duo'd my 24 fury with my friends 24 gaurdian. Deleted our writs until we got what we thought would be the easiest 2 classes to get. A Brig and a warden. Spent over 3 hours last night in TS, DF, Nek, CL, killed over 30 people, never got our brig we needed. We saw 2. 1 was in our level range, he evac'd the second he saw us. The second was a level 51, (yes thats right, 2 24's attacked a level 51 brig) in BB, and the SoB jumped on a griffon and flew off. WTF is that. I honeslty didnt expect to beat a 51 brig, but at that point i was so pissed i would have attacked an 80.

Now i know thats not T8, but over 30 kills in 3 hours and never getting the class you need is insane. I feel like i just wasted my entire evening.

And to say it will only take you 5 to 6 months of 4-5 hours a day of nothing but pvp, well great. that means i will get my set sometime in September, assuming that every second im on i do nothing but get into pvp groups and raids, and i am able to do 1 writ an hour, which honestly i beleive is very wishful thinking. Then once im finally done with the 6 month grind, SoE will release a new expansion in November most likely making any pvp gear anyone has obsolete.

Why even spend the time on the gear if only a handful of peeps will even see it.

How long was T7 out for? 18+ months? They aren't going to keep shoving a new tier down our throats every 9 months, they simply don't have the dev resources available to do that. The level cap will likely be 80 at least through the next expansion.


Because this is Veeshan's Peak (or better) quality gear in most cases, and you can get it solo or in small groups. And btw, quite a few more than "a handful" of people will get PvP gear.

What ever happened to being proud of an accomplishment? Fabled, endgame-raid-zone quality PvP gear is supposed to be available to the elite PvPers. Seeing a few pieces on someone should be an "ooo, aaahhh" type thing. Seeing a full suit should be a "zomfg" experience. When everyone is running around in full PvP gear it cheapens things.

Last night, we all re-rolled our writs laughing at combos like Conjurer + Mystic, or Mystic + Paladin. The conventional wisdom was to go for the coveted Swashbuckler + Loam Farmer combo. The funy thing was, our first two kills were conjurer and fury :p

Nagafen PvP Been out how long? 2 years ya? The most Kills I've seen someone have is 16,000.. That's 2 years. So if the numbers are even remotely correct that others have posted in this thread about getting the pvp set gear, you're looking at over 6,000 kills. That's only if you kill the Exact Players needed for each and every writ. The likelihood of getting those exact kills, as the writs are now, every time? impossible. That means the number of actual kills needed would probably double. so 12,000 kills for a set of Gear that is as good as the VP Raided gear that the bluebie hole bitches have been farming for the past month at least. by the time a single person has a full set of pvp gear at the current rate, then all of Kraken and Onyx will be outfitted in VP Set gear.
So I say again, all you bluebie hole bitchass pvp wannabes leave this and every other thread on the subject. Tired of your taint making my head hurt.

6480 kills of very specific requirements to complete a writ, not including any canon fodder in between. Which will be Plenty, prolly about 10-1 kill ratio for specific requirements. Of course thats just speculation. But from the way things have been going it seems completely reasonable. Which would put the kill count around 60,000 kills. How many people do you know that have been playing since the dawn of nagafen that are sitting with 60k kills? Again, head please. Use it.

Let's say that on Nagafen Onyx was the only exile guild. Let's also say that they raid 4 times a week. Now let's make it so they're mostly a PST guild while the majority of the server is German.

Please, Firamas, enlighten me as to how we're supposed to earn any tokens. Even with the exile requirement removed, there's few enough people that we really can't afford to just hunt a certain class, even "common" ones like rangers.

It's just not realistic. Alright I can understand that 300 and 400 tokens probably wasn't a lot on Nagafen but here it's a fuckton. And now we can't even make a dent in that number. I don't expect them to cater to us at Nagafen's expense but jesus christ it feels like they forgot we even existed when they were thinking this up.

Nobody except the one or two people who think PvP entirely consists of doing quests and fighting if anyone walks nearby is happy about these writs on Venekor and even the most hardcore are starting to feel like going out is pointless.

Yes we PvP for the fun of it as well, but this just means our 20 minutes searching for one target will become 80 minutes searching for a specific target. 20 minutes is boring enough, thanks. Most MMOG players are achievement focused, and having no goal to work with makes fewer and fewer people go out to fight.

I love these writs. I've seen more pvp lately than I have in a very long time. KP, KJ, Fens, JW, people everywhere, solos groups and raids. The folk on the low pop servers having trouble finding enough pvp had a chance to transfer... and alas are still in their low pop server as they choose.

Hmmm...quite a few members of Onyx have over 20k kills. Many of them, over 10k. The problem is, as was stated many times over to you whiney city folk....you don't fucking fight without "the perfect group" or the perfect gank. Fuck off, sorry you have to actually earn something from pvp merchants.
