Did you even read my fucking post or did you just try and reply as quickly as possible? PvP takes ages to find. Most of it really isn't that gripping. There aren't enough good fights to make it worth bothering without the rewards. And if there's no PvP rewards the raiders are going to rape us when it finally comes down to it.
With PvP rewards being hard as fuck to get now (not that they weren't really hard before) and raiding guilds that have already cleared T4 raid zones, it's really not going to be long before PvMers are the best PvPers. And that isn't the sort of game I want to play.
I wish they'd hurry up and just tell us if class requirements are going to be removed. To be honest 5 tokens a day wouldn't be a terrible total, but 0 a day really fucking is.
And Spyderbite, you're not a PvPer so you really have no room to comment.

yes, that's true. and i think its an ironic and amusing result of all the complaining that the city factions did. it's also exactly in line... if they don't want the requirement to have to kill exiles, they shouldn't get any credit towards their enemy faction writ requirements either.
fuck em. it's a prime example of "watch what you ask for, because you just might get it." but in the end, i guess they're happier with the way it is now... although 2 months down the road they'll bitch and bitch and bitch and bitch about how unfair it is that exiles dont give updates to writs, and there will be enough butthurt forum fire circle jerking (possibly spearheaded by Kruhl) that a dev will just get tired of listening to them and change it.

Have fun when you're wearing full raid gear and nearly everyone runs away from you because there's absolutely no reason to chance it.

and how is the "full raid gear" situation in T8 any different than T7? did some brand new problem magically develop in the last 2 months that i wasn't aware of? did all that solid T8 legendary gear stop being so amazing in the last hotfix or something? did heroic instances stop dropping raid quality loot? is the PvP gear no longer better than Veeshan's Peak loot?
INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW.

Alright, straight up:
1. With the current token gain rate, you guys are likely to be fully equipped in good fabled gear long before the first city aligned player is equipped in PvP gear. If you're interested in seeing some numbers, check out Rippy's post here.
2. Since the last update, exiled players give zero writ updates except if that particular class is needed for the writ. As you guys are now worthless kills compared to the next Q/Freep, a lot of people will just not bother with you at all anymore. They will ignore you and click evac instead - you can count on it.

In T7 I had four pieces of PvP armour and I was PvPing for three months solid. In T8 now the writs are out I can't be fucking bothered PvPing at all. I spent the last 3 hours looking for a ranger. We saw two. Neither of them we could catch. There's no point fighting anyone else. Meaning that today we went home with a total of 0 tokens. Yesterday I got 5. Every other day has been zero. And I need to get 400. How the fuck am I meant to do that?
The writs with the class specification make fighting anyone that isn't the class you need into a total fucking waste of time. It's hard enough finding people to fight on Venekor, and it's not fun to just PvP for the sake of it because of all the chasing you have to do all the time.
I think if they're not changed within the next three or four weeks I'm just going to pack it in. All there is to do is PvP and now the writs have totally removed all my motivation for it.

Re: PvP Writs Fucking Suck
Think of it this way. It's nice to have something to show for the time you've spent. I'm a Dreadnaught, and let's say I kill five people mixed between slayers and destroyers.
This means I've not got any infamy. It's unlikely these people were the right classes so I've also got no tokens. Five people is an alright amount to have killed pvping on a weekday on Venekor, and I'd expect at least two tokens from that.
The reason for the writs were so people could go out and PvP in a group and not feel like time was wasted, because at least they've gone home with something. At least for that time they have something tangible to show for what they've done.
Right now I don't have anything tangible. Looking around trying to complete the writ just makes the situation on Venekor seem all that much more frustrating. When all there is to say on Vent is "Xanaphia is on track." "Is that a ranger?" "Warlock". "Fuck it then." there's something wrong.

Sorry, that's just your warped perspective. Token, no token, hell, titled or not, if you pass by me and you're attackable, i'd be killing you. All this bullshit about needing a reason to pvp is just pointless whining. Your attitude is what is ruining pvp, not the rewards system. I've always thought of the challenge of fighting a person rather then AI to be the draw to pvp. Hell, i don't really recall too many people being exited about them opening PvP servers because of the new items they were putting in for pvpers, it was because you would be able to pvp that drew people to Venekor/Nagafen/Darathar/Vox or whichever. As far as reading your previous posts, ya, i did, all the same drivel about how hard it is to find someone to kill. I'd say i felt bad for you, but when i transfered from Venekor to Nagafen last year, i did it with 10,000 pvp kills before leaving. Not my fault all your roleplayers and pussys that wouldn't leave the city because they might lose a title stopped playing, or only run straight to instances or evac on sight of the enemy now. Sounds like Venekor killed itself to me.

A few things:
1. Not everyone PvPs for fun. Sure If you run past me and I can attack you, one of us will (hopefully) end up dead, but I only go actively LOOKING for PvP when Im trying to complete writs. If I hear that there's a monk on the docks in KP but I don't have one on my current writ, I'm not gonna drop everything to go kill em.
2. I have to admit, the adrenaline rush when you're fighting someone and you really dont know who's going to win is great. There is no better feeling in this game.
3. You were exiled for most of that time and having done it myself, i know how much your kill count was inflated by massive brawls inside Haven. Don't say you didn't do it, because then I'd have to call you a liar. Also you played a ranger when they were seriously overpowered and when Venekor had a much higher population. You also (IIRC) were fairly heavily into PvP, even before you went to DoM.
4. No, letting people transfer for free killed it. Venekor was hopping (you know, you were there, for the first day atleast) for the entirety of that week. I had almost 30 seconds of lag time between clicking buttons and seeing stuff happen. There were multiple x4s from both factions and exile all fighting in CLs. Really though, there was no reason at all to allow free transfers. Nagafen certainly didnt need the extra population and venekor did. Free transfer was the dumbest thing SOE ever did. Come the end of the week, nothing. All gone. Venekor didn't kill itself, free transfer did.
