not that i really feel like defending myself to you, but i was in Monged up until last July because i was stationed in Japan, was deployed over 70% of my tour, and even when i was back in home port i couldn't raid on US time (when raids start at 6am your time and you have to go to work at... 6am, that doesnt really work out, eh?). i therefore joined a more casual PvP guild at that time because i knew i'd never be able to raid while in Japan. i realize you've probably only ventured outside of your hometown of East Bumfuck, USA a couple times in your life, so the idea of military service or foreign countries might be a mystery to you, but someday it'll all be clear. =)

p.s. btw, i was locked at L58 for about a week or two to try to get some faction for PVP gear, then i got bored with it and promptly shot the rest of the way up to 70. if the "level locker" shit is the best you've got on me, you may want to start working on new material =)

I agree entirely with number 2. If all PvP was like that, I wouldn't give a shit about tokens. But it's not. Most PvP you know exactly who is going to win and it's just a case of seeing the inevitable happen.
Tokens encourage people to be out. They encourage me to be out. More people out means more chance of better fights.

And all of us from the EU servers other than Purity came to Venekor and saw it heaving, especially from our perspective. How in the name of fuck were we to know that when we logged in the day after the free transfer, everyone would be gone?

I'm all up for equality between the classes for tokens, but this system is just lame.

I like the idea of an arch-type instead of a specific class better than the current system or my other idea about static chests.

People want equality between classes for tokens, but arent willing to naturally group up to PvP. Now, the devs introduce a mechanic that makes it highly to your advantage to group up to PvP, and people whine that it's too haaaaaaaaaaaard to finish a writ. Give me a break.

Some writs will be completed quickly, some will take a bit longer to find that class. Either way, the bottom line is with the current writ mechanics, every time you go back to that quest giver with a completed writ, there are SIX people each getting those tokens (and if there arent 6 ppl in your group, its not our fault you're wasting spots for writ updates). Think about how many tokens would have dropped off chests in the old system. These writs are not out of line.

I ran around in a group for two days trying to find one Assassin.. 87 kills now, no Assassin.

ZERO FUCKING INSIGNIAS, where I would have had a shot at 0-261 Insignias under the old system. Our entire group didn't get the Assassin we needed.. So we deleted the writ, and now everyone is looking for a Fury, and a Warlock. I'll tell you how that goes, now we're at 19 kills (0-57 Insignias under the old system), and not a single fucking Fury.

So far, two writs we've lost out on the possibility for 318 Insignias, for the chance at 30 insignias.

There is no aspect of MMO game balance that someone isn't going to bitch about. The water is too hot... no... now it's too cold... no... it's too hot again.

You can't please everyone, unless you give people things on a silver platter. And that only causes people to get bored and quit because they've "seen and done" everything much quicker than they should have.

Writs should be 2:1. Two kills nets you two tokens. Shit even 3:1 would be better than what we are doing now.

Give me a writ, kill 10 players that aren't aligned with Lucan. give me 5 tokens when I turn it in.

I am still befuddled at what they are trying to accomplish with these writs? Give them to us all, but slow it down?

Well, I had a writ that was done for half the day... I wasn't about to leave the dungeons I was in to get a new one, so I missed out on tokens.

how about 50 kills gets you 25 tokens. Now that'd be perfect.
