you guys seriously think this is ok? really? or are you just trying to start shit? i dont know which is true. i would think this problem is obvious. it seems pretty lame to me. im not whining. or lying. just going on the information that was given me. i do believe this is a major problem. and i honestly would like to see some fixes. thats all. im not interested in fighting with children.. im interested in seeing something done. nothing more. i honestly thought that the entire server population would be in agreement here.

What is the ONLY reason to be on a PVP server that you're giving up?

PVP should be the only reason to choose the server, not the gear or titles that come with being factioned.

No one says you can't pvp as an exile, in fact if everyone was exile it would be an FFA server.

I honestly think you are wrong, and would believe the same if I was still in Freeport.

If you want Mythical epics and believe you can't earn them with a Freeport only guild, if I were you, I'd team with a Q guild and jointly raid with them for a month in Exile. You'd have the best of both world, and be even more OP than you already are with your city faction rewards, when you returned. And it would only cost you 50 p to get your AD3s back.

These Mythicals aren't going to fly out of your butt like a magic monkey. You'll need to earn them if you want them, the same as we will.

We all love the site, and think it's essential for the EQ2 community (because the forum mods on the official forums abuse their power) ...

but it certainly can't help the credibility of the site when its founder admits to partaking in extraneous arguing in order to promote more income for the site. It's bad enough the credibility of the site has to be called into question by having "flames" in its name. In fact, I think there's a lot of people who don't even visit this site because of its name only. I know I didn't visit this site for a long time for that very reason. I never considered myself to be someone to flame others, so I figured why visit the site in the first place. Had I known that it was actually a treasure trove of useful information, I would have visited it long ago. Try not to hurt the credibility of the site, please.

My response was intended to point out that you don't need T8 fabled to raid at all, you can do it just fine with ROK quest reward gear, which is what I have.

Kraken exiled a while ago actually, I dunno the exact date... hrm. I joined in late July of last year, and I think they had exiled a few months before. However, they had been across both city factions before that and did quite well (PVE wise) in either city.

TBPH, the only reason I'm even posting in these threads is because I have a lot of free time at work and eq2flames is a good way to fill that. Continually justifying (what should be) obvious facts to certain idiots who will never listen to reason is not particularly enlightening for me, but it passes the time.

The conundrum lies here: any guild who has worked through serious raid progression through T7 and T8, either on a PVE server or on Nagafen, already knows that raid guilds succeed based on the strengths of their members, not on the classes they play. They have spent incredible amounts of time learning every new encounter in each new expansion or tier, and can easily identify that certain recipe of coordination, player skill, dedication, and leadership that is needed for success...

...however, if you haven't tasted the sweet desserts of that recipe, and you're still in the kitchen getting all frustrated trying to refine the recipe, you might easily overlook the fact that some of your ingredients may be rotten or stale. And you can't bake a tasty cake like that, can you?

It just so happens that PVP is not fun as an exile. You don't get status for kills, you're not getting tokens, not picking up writs. You can't get city merchant items, little things like escape lockets and exp pots. There's a lot of little different reasons as to why it's more fun to PVP as a Freeport or Qeynosian. Now why would SOE force people to sacrifice some of their fun in order for fun elsewhere? Why not just give everybody all the fun at the same time at the same costs ...so everybody is at least treated equally?
