i'd like to see you do all of them up to where you are raiding currently, with only q and then with only freep toons, just for kicks, it will give you folks a challenge anyway
however, i do agree with you, once you learn the zone, it's much easier, so yea, you'll probably have no trouble, you have that advantage now, but please, i'd like to see the fraps, and the parse with and without all classes, i'm seriously just curious about the difference
legion of the white rose or w/e, finally allowed freeport toons in their guild after how many years of raiding without them because they realized they were beating their head against a wall trying to clear raid zones without them?
/shrug, i don't honestly know how good or bad they were as a team, but i think that in and of itself speaks volumes

Re: Raiding in FP and Qeynos
And when we do it, are you going to exile and show us how much easier it is with all 24 classes, that is part of the bargain I'd say?

Re: Raiding in FP and Qeynos
we still would have to recruit to get all the classes, and learn the zones, and we're not raiding 7 days a week as a second job, so, it's still going to take a while, but we'll kick the idea around.
also, here's the thing, me personally, i rolled on this server because i love the game, and pvp gave it new life, i was purty much sick of raiding, i purty much still am, pvp is fun, challenging, and used to be rewarding
raiding is part of the game, and folks want to raid, so we raid, but only 3 days a week, anything more, and i want RL money involved, we have picked up a few new players though, so yea! still could use some more dps that can parse, go go recruits!
i'm seriously just interested in the difference in parses

Lol.. A while? AKA you'll never see Silverwing in VP until T9 is released? Boon hit the nail on the head when he said Onyx could clear this instanced shit w/ a Qeynos only raid, faster than any factioned guild if they were to come exile and have all the classes.
And as for the White rose? Who knows, they are not even a top contender on raid content now, or back then. Sounds like too much of a role-playing guild to do much pve.

Re: Raiding in FP and Qeynos
/shrug
who knows, maybe, maybe not,
but if it DOES take us that long, at least we'll have something to do, cause PVP will be completely dead by then,
or we'll be running round trying to find other city guilds to fight, cause city guilds will be evac'ing from those who are overly geared out (purty pink tags from raid zones/contesteds), kinda like before rok, lol
vicious circle

Re: Raiding in FP and Qeynos
I hate to tell you this, but I think most factioned people run, evac, etc from Onyx singles/groups all the time. Even before we went into EH during EOF people would run all day long.
The only time I can really remember a city group staying around much was when we were leveling up and they were yellow or orange to us. Lately, the only groups that will fight us are Purity, some Exodus (with numbers), some betrayed (once they evac first), and a little bit of Insurrection (rare).
/sad face.
That's why I solo most of the time. But, even as a solo, I end up chasing people all the way across a zone b/c fame is on the line. Speaking of that, I should make a movie of people running away from a 1v1 fight.

Re: Raiding in FP and Qeynos
that's not true, once ROK came out, the gear evened up a bit, the fights were much better against the previously better geared players, you don't remember dropping plat to us?
but as the gap widens again between raid gear and those trying to obtain pvp gear, the evac's will begin again

Re: Raiding in FP and Qeynos
Yeh I remember dropping plat on the way to Chelsith. Grats on that one fight. Shaman Healer ftl. Anywho, the gear is still even. Feel free to exile a character over and look through all of Onyx's gear at 9est tonight. I highly doubt the few pieces of ROK loot that we might have is going to make that much of a difference.
But, then again, at the end of ROK most active raiders in Onyx had 5+ pieces of EOF set-gear. So when did it balance out? Especially considering most onyx raiders are still using their EOF armor.

Re: Raiding in FP and Qeynos
While I agree it is not impossible for a city-faction guild to raid every tier...it is harder.
To some extent I agree with what Vythor has said...there are some lazy people in the city-faction only but not as many as you would believe. As to holding peoples hands as they get their feet wet in high end raiding...that will always happen especially if new people join you raid force to replace others who have left...sometimes many have never raided before so your constantly dealing with the learning curve...its a fact we will never see an end to.
