What was the nerf, anyways? Don't the ranged CA's still function as they always have, as descibed in the examine window? And can't the epic bow still autoattack from 0 range?

gee I must just be crazy but I recall being stuned rooted snared hit from +35m from melee classes like brigs and assasins

no, you opened with 2 paragraphs talking about the unfairness of "melee weapons" working at 35m and bows not working at 0m, citing some kind of real world dynamics or something. i replied and basically called you a dumbass. also, you can still autoattack at 0m, so chill the fuck out.

the second half of your post was the "T8 ammo is broken" bitchfest, which has been covered 81739812639812 elsewhere on forums and already received a "we're looking into it" reply from devs (which is more than we usually get). this was a separate rant, and shouldn't have been combined with your retarded "longbows should be effective at 0m but why am i getting hit with a sword at 35m??" whinefest.

in short, this entire thread has been a waste of my precious time and i now hate myself for posting in it.

only swashes can melee from range and they can hit you from 15m not 8m plus walk the plank gets 35m range and their 1 ranged CA which is an unresistable snare, where every other scouts snare (assassin, brig, ranger) gets resisted like 80% of the time

every scout has ranged CA's. predators have by far the most, bards have a few, and rogues get 1.

also, all scouts and fighters have access to these things called "ranged weapons". bows, throwing pouches, giant spiked dildo boomerangs, there's some crazy shit flyin around out there. there are +5m ammo available for both bows and pouches. believe it or not, just because your class is called a "ranger" doesn't mean you're the only one in the game who can do damage from 35m. you're just by far the best at it.

is this your first week playing eq2 or something? why do i have to explain basic shit to you. gtfo.

Dont recall twisting your arm to post here. I dont expect you to agree with it cause its not in your best interest to have scout classes on the same level. I was just pointing out obvious facts that people over look while saying that the rangers are fine and bow range and mechanics are ok. They are not. I am sorry but same logic should apply in both directions. If a bow shouldnt be able to be used at zero meters then melee weapon and melee combat arts should be limited to 2-5m.

wrong. a swash with Reach has an 8m melee range. (unless it was changed again since the last nerf to it) if you're talking about a swash melee'ing from 15m then they are using the clickie effect on the PvP boomerang for the 20 seconds of +100% melee range, which is available to everyone.

and i never noticed walk the plank being usable outside normal melee range, are you sure of this? (tbh i dont really use it much... its really not part of my opening pvp combo as a brig because i cant afford to give you the root immunity over my normal 6sec root)

and seeing as assassins are PREDATORS, the same class type as a ranger, that makes sense. the predator archetype is a mixed ranged/melee high DPS scout... one of em is better at range, one does better with their melee attacks.

srsly, do we really have people here who've been playing this game for years who don't understand the basics of class design? why do i even have to explain this stupid shit to you guys.
