It's still the most populated server you dumb dumb

Unlike the five people who post on the Venekor forums saying they are going to quit, the five people on Nagafen forums saying they are going to quit don't actually represent our entire community~
Ofcourse its the most populated pvp server. Theres just 3;

1 server with 50 people, 1 server with 350 people and nagafen with 500. Wow so populated, i cant handle the masses!!!!! LHEP!!!

PvP is most certainly alive and well.

If you go by what the vocal minority on a message board says you'd think that every MMO out there is about to die off, because there's always a bunch of retards that will post stupid shit like that. Maybe they think that just by saying it they can make it happen... manifest destiny? Heh, whatever. A few disgruntled idiots (who, most of the time, are still paying a subscription fee and still play btw >_<) don't set the future for any massive online game.

Nagafen regularly crests 4-6k simultaneous users (or whatever the criteria is for "VERY HIGH" population in the server list window you see when you create a new character, I think a dev once stated it was in that range). It's the only server I ever see that breaks into that VERY HIGH population range. Vox has a low population because, quite frankly, most EQ2 players don't agree with the Station Exchange concept (but it's still fine to have servers for those that do). Venekor has a low population because of the slow migration to Nagafen.

To be honest, I think if they'd open a brand new PvP server similar to Nagafen (with no server transfers allowed for the first 6 months) , you'd get a TON of interest from PVE players who have held out, and some current PvPers who want to start over. I think some of the PVE'ers might be intimidated by the fact that Nagafen has a more mature economy and "maxed out" playerbase. If they were given the chance to start on a fresh PvP server where everyone is on equal footing, that could really attract a lot of new players. /shrug

I think you could create a more popular server by creating one designed for a one time pve to pvp transfer. I think you are correct that some ppl believe that they will out matched by people who have been on naggy for a long time. I also think the other half don't go because they are not willing to give up the toons they have been playing for 3+ years.

yep, i fully support that as well (and i've requested that before).

however, to prevent an immense amount of bitching and complaining, that kind of one time transfer would probably also come with a stripping of all fabled items. let the people keep the time and emotional investment, but you almost have to level the playing field a bit by having everyone "reset" back to the Legendary gear baseline. could probably allow spells to stay the same. if you let PVE players come over with no penalty, you would have a HUGE forum fire constantly burning about the PvP imbalance between casual players, casual raiders, and hardcore raiders. whether or not "they spent the time to earn those items" is a valid argument, people don't really care when they're getting slain by avatar-geared enemies.

its not like its hard to start raiding RoK again to get most of that back anyway ;)

Stripping of items people have worked so hard for kinda defeats the purpose of it doesn't it. It's a 1 time xfer bring what you got because there is no going back kinda deal i was thinking about. I was thinking the ones with avatar and vp gear would be the ones most interested in doing it. We have conquered the raiding world and now we want to put the fruit of or efforts to test against real players instead of just sitting afk at the docks with them.

eh, i dunno. i could support it either way. i guess that's a big enough venture that they might even open up a community poll first. although of course the % of people who would be strongly in favor of keeping their fabled is very low compared to those who, well, don't have that great of stuff. =)

either way i've been in support of opening a fresh server or allowing one way transfers (either to or from PVP) for a long time.

To level and gear up on a pve server and then move over to pvp when you have all the best gear available? That is exactly why these transfers are not allowed.

I wish they would allow naked transfers over, I would have no problem with that and would move my pve characters over....stripped of gear.

Hey retard, where did I say the most populated PvP Server?

Nagafen is the most populated SERVER, OUT OF ALL THE SERVERS IT'S THE MOST POPULATED. IF THERE WAS A TEST ON WHO HAD THE MOST PEOPLE. NAGAFEN WOULD WIN.

DO YOU UNDERSTAND?

NOT ONLY IS NAGAFEN THE BEST PVP SERVER BUT IT'S THE BEST SERVER IN GENERAL. CAN YOUR SMALL BRAIN COMPREHEND THAT?
