Back from a break, best pvp class now?

Hey everyone,

After a long break from EQ2 im getting back into it soon and was wondering your opinions on what classes are currently dominating in pvp?

I would like to start up a ranger, although i would consider other classes as well. so let me know what you think about rangers in pvp especially, and feel free to go over what other aspects and classes you think have relevance in pvp currently. thanks a bunch!

I'm not an expert but I recall Brigands and Assassins having a real advantage in PvP when I played. Evac, burst damage, interrupts and stuns were the name of the game.

.. And dispatch doesn't hurt.

DPS: swash,warlock
Heals: Templar, Warden
Other: Illusionist

uberest classes in pvp atm.

thanks for the feedback so far everyone! My friend just decided he was going to play a warden, so keeping that in mind i think ill go either ranger or swashy, which would be better to do a duo with?

I see that ranger has some attacks that decrease defense to heat, and warden has a primary heat spell.

but swashy has a attack that decreases magic resists on the mob, would that include the wardens cold and heat spells?

Warden and Swash is probably the best pvp duo there is. Get see invis totems, stealth and smuggle you can see everyone on track. Smuggle around, pick your fights, easy mode. Swash is great dps and can take some hits, warden is great healer with decent dps. Two evacs don't hurt either.

if your going too be lvl 80 tell your friend warden too go Melee warden ... in short fight and in duo pvp is always great

Fyi, you dont have to always play the most overpowered class.
