Shaman in general is the WORST healer ever thought out in PvP. At least defilers have a fear to create distance while rewarding. Melee spec is nice, but in T8 if you can't kill stuff before you have to heal, Your dead as a Mystic, and probally Defiler. I went from General Pre-RoK to Slayer at some point because of the shear lack of upgraded wards to match auto attack. I won't even play this char for PvP anymore its aweful, I'm sitting at #5 PvP Kills for Mystic WW while on Venekor and still can't do a damn thing with this piece of shit class. Wish to god they would buff us in some way, Defilers need it too, but just a little less IMO, Their fear is forever.

The Templar Reactive Casts are just as long, they just need to give Shamans a casting speed increase via AA like the Clerics have.

Right, they really should look at the Shaman AA's overall. Druids and Clerics get help with interrupts, stifles, stuns (not all three at once) but the Shaman should get something similar.

am I the only one that cringes at that fast recast fear or what? I agree on all accounts with the heals/wards casting slow and being interupted, but the defiler fear is wrong i tell you wrong!!!

Yes yes i use a potion.. but that lasts for 20 seconds and I don't have the stun/stifle capability of a rogue so it's long fight usually.

I played a melee spec mystic and then a couple months prior to RoK went Defiler. If you are looking for success at solo PvP, then play a mystic, get the STR and INT lines, and all the melee specs from the Mystic Tree. Get gear that procs damage.

A defiler in a group with a druid/templar is a force to be reckoned with. AoE fear, almost unlimited power, single target fear, Invective line on a scout type, and Spiritual circle are just some of my favorites. I can kill people solo, but not nearly as well as I could as a mystic, and it takes about 10 times as long.

Dude, it isn't 12 second recast like you said. I am curseweaving aa spec'd, the recast is 30 secs. Recast is 60 secs without that spec. If you can't kill me in 30 secs on a pred or rogue, you should re-examine your class choice.

I have over 11k hp self buffed, and am lucky when I can kill a scout solo. When I do, the fight is usually a minute long, then they run away before I can kill them, especially rangers with the "run like a girl" aa spec. There is no comparison to the capabilities of brigs, swashes and assassins, who can kill me in under 5 seconds.
