Default +Tracking Avoidance revealed

I finally found out what +Trackin Avoidance is good for. And since nobody ever posted this information, I will do it now.

+1 Tracking Avoidance increases your chance to NOT be displayed on someones Tracking when he casts it by 1%.

It has nothing to do with the range you can be tracked or something like that. This means that with the 3 set bonus you won't appear on Tracking one out of four times. And with +100 Tracking Avoidance you will never appear on someones track.

Just thought I'd share since I don't think everybody knows this yet.

I don't get it.

Why should this go in a class section? ALL T8 PvP sets have +25 Tracking Avoidance, and some mage and priest jewelry has +5 Tracking Avoidance. I'd say the Player versus Player section is the right place for this thread.

Ya, nm, for some reason I thought this was in general section.

Im a tad confused. You said "When he casts track", so someone could cast track, then get near you and you would show up 100% of the time?

No. You can see it as a proc. +25 Tracking Avoidance gives you a 25% chance when any scout, no matter if he is right next to you or at the other end of the zone, opens Tracking, that you simlpy don't appear.

Now if the scout closes Tracking and casts it again, there is another 25% chance that you don't appear. If a full group of 6 has +25 Tracking Avoidance now, it will be most likely that a scout won't have all of them on Tracking at the same time, but more like 3-5 people.

I tested this with me having 25% avoidance and a scout. The scout stood right next to me and cast Tracking several times. And my name didn't show up like one out of three times. And if I didn't show up on track, he could go wherever he wanted and back to me but I just didn't appear on Tracking. Now if that Tracking Avoidance doesn't "proc" there is no difference in range of Tracking or any other stuff.

Edit: Umm.. After reading this it seems like I am not very good at explaining stuff. I hope you understood it now tough. But in my opinion this is not the best solution to get rid of the "remove Tracking" whiners.

all this is going to lead to is people closing track and reopening it, once these items become more prevalent. the recast time on track is almost instantaneous.
