this item needs tro be fixed on pvp servers either remove it or make it so it doesnt have that five percent life drain when u equip it

all i see lately are general swashys and wizzys running around at 20 percent health with nothing to lose

keep in mind PVP was a secondary face to eq2... it's obviously a hellacious task to keep pve balanced (so much for that) and to keep pvp fair on the same basis. I love the choker on my ranger - and can see where you would find problems with it in conjunction with that 50% rule. Maybe just have SoE nill out the initial little blast u get when u put it on ..that way the only way to use it and be under 50% is to be in perpetual combat.....

As far as concidering it an exploit....

--It is obviously a pve item, and if you haven't used it ... it goes a lil something like this....

so by macro'n to equip n re-equip it you can easily stay under that 50% mark.... I'd call that an exploit

The damage for putting it on made sense back when you could switch items around in combat. There was a real reason to not switch it back and forth then- the extra damage.

No point now tho. That part should be removed, since there's no non-shady reason to keep it on. OH NOES I LOST 1500 HPS BEFOER WE PULLED.

Anything that is used in a non-intended way to get around game mechanics is an exploit. There are varying "degrees" of exploit, in that there are various consequences. Some exploits save fame, some save lives entirely, some get around tracking, snares, ganks, etc, and some will almost ensure that your opponent will never win. Regardless, they're still exploits.

Exploiting is fucking gay. Cliff diving was an exploit, so is using the choker to stay under 50% hp.
