I've thought about playing an Assassin in PvP but a few things I question about the playstyle of them and I would like some tips from other Assassins.


1.) How do you manage to stay in stealth long enough to execute stealth attacks? I believe any damage takes you out of stealth as long as it isn't a dot tick.


2.) How do you manage to stay behind your target with the only stun being available is cheap shot? I'm sure a majority of PvP players are Melee so they aren't likely to stand still while you are trying to fight them.


Any non-sarcastic information would be greatly appreciated.

You have what.. one or two stealth attacks that require you to be behind your target? None of them being your bigger hits?

And 1 out of 2 those is your only way to get back into stealth after your initial opener...

Edit: Forgot the Stalk line, but the Shrouded Attack still requires you to be behind, and your other from behind is Finishing Blow which deals 3x the damage if they are below 20%.

Also forgot Concealment, but who is keeping track right?

Seriously, it's easy to get off your stealth hits.
You don't NEED to use your back/flanking attack, even though it's easy to get off.
You don't NEED to use that stealth/back attack, since you have other options like Killing Blade to use instead.

Concealment is god.

1) How do you manage to stay in stealth to use ur attacks? Well, you do realise that 0.37 or something is WAY faster then most of other classes' ca's/spells?

2) ^ wot he said. You use boomerang, concealment, and 3-shot avatar geared nontank nontemplar ppl from like 15m afar. BTW grats OP @ finding an easymode pvp class.

yes Brigs & swashys are awesome in PvP but not unbeatable and easy to kill with a Sin if you know what ur doing.
I've 1 shot them so many times, even without 1shoting em, its easy

the way I learned it from a Great assassin PvPer is to do this,

you first stifle them then right away use cheap shot ( you got a stifle and a stun)
then use your attack ( forgot name) that lets u strike and puts u into stealth after 2or 3 hits then use ur power hits like execute or so then if u have concealment, use that and get into stealth again and use the other POWER attacks, usually you should have him dead within 5 sec max. with this combo, ( well I do on my assassin)
( a guild y told me this and it works great,) the fight shouldnt last more then 5 sec or so. otherwise itll be hard to kill since we assassins are not equipped for long fights. for us its a IN, KILL, OUT thing
