By getting lucky and landing all your spells. That's the problem, if I landed all my spells I'd be easily OP. There needs to be a balance, but it's too far to the 'resist' side atm.

Thing is, well geared players at that level have around 3k resists, and those are very well geared players...even still, most players at that level don't even have 3k disease resist. 3k resists is only around 56% resist rate against an even level person. So how is it that green cons are resisting 80-100% in pvp? If I am able to land both Imprecate and the Aphotic line, at my level, that's almost 1700 disease resist debuff, which would leave a well geared player with less than 20% resists, yet still they resist 60-80% of everything I cast.

Top that off with the fact that even in the 40's, one melee class can eat through my 1400 (pvp checked) ward in less than two seconds.

I thought resists = basically mitigation.
Mitigation doesn't stop you from getting hit, just prevents you from getting hit as hard.

Just had another fight - fairly long one too as it was 2v2 - and I had 12 spells outright resisted in a row by a druid. If I'd been on my dirge he'd be a corpse.

I dunno what to tell you guys, but I get nailed by spells all the damn time, got hit by 3 different wizzys Icecomets today in the same damn fight. they dont seem to be having problems.

Yeah, I've always been hit by wizzys. Not played one so don't know if it's something in their AAs.

Same here..despite having 3k mental resist at 48 I can't remember the last time I resisted anything from a coercer. Yet I can't get anything to land on green con players, much less anything higher.

I also noticed on my lowbie coercer and troub that my mental based spells are rarely if ever resisted, but my defiler's disease based stuff has always had about a 75% resist rate through every tier, if not more. What I don't understand about this, is that on every character I've ever played, disease was usually one of my lowest resists through gear, and mental/magic has always been my highest.

People always remember the fights where they died due to a resist, and the fights where you completely destroy your opponent are quickly forgotten in the frustration of getting your arse handed to you because your mez/stun/stiffle/nuke was resisted.

Not saying there isnt a problem, just saying your perception (and agenda) clearly favour your view that resists are so hugely out of whack. Testing shows about a 20-30% resist rate.
