Not saying there isnt a problem, just saying your perception (and agenda) clearly favour your view that resists are so hugely out of whack. Testing shows about a 20-30% resist rate.

Let me put it to you this way: I die to every coercer I see without fail, and I rarely resist anything, despite having 3k+ mental resists. Doesn't matter if the coercer is green, blue or whatever.
Being a defiler, I don't "completely destroy" anybody, as even 2v1 fights are sometimes long and drawn out, I get to enjoy each and every resist that I see. Oftentimes, against green and blue opponents, my spells are resisted more often than not, which is complete bullshit. Have you ever chained through your entire spell set against a lower con opponent and had every single thing you cast resisted? I have, more than once unfortunately. Most notably against druids, which, while higher resists are expected, 80-100% resist rate is again complete bullshit.

Re: wtf resists
My conspiracy theory is that some spell types are more resistable than others, player resists aside.

Re: wtf resists
My conspiracy theory goes like this:
Lower level spells resist less.
Ergo, lower level toons resist less because they are using those lower level spells. I believe this was done to help those lower levels kill kill the higher level toons, somewhat as 'compensation' for all those extra levels. As said above, testing shows around about 20-20% resists in T8. And it wasn't even my testing, so im not making it up. I did do som testing on the lower level spells things, and back in RoK (so its been a while) the lvl50 troubador mez (ap1) landed about twice as often as the level 80 adept III.
I would ask though, why is it that you say you resist alot... yet my templar's nukes are only occasionally resisted? FYI, the templar has 400/400 disruption. I have not buffed it at all, even by accident.

Re: wtf resists
Welp EQ1 resist system seem to work better but on my zerker fully mastered out with MC armor and more resist gear "earrings etc.etc."
I still get hit by alot, but when a nuke hits i take normally the full dmg.
If someone couldnt resist those spells some time, we die in 3 shots basically. Lol casters be as OP as a SK (Which i never resist anything from SKs even have'n like 5k+ disease etc.
Resist should work more like mitigation but doesnt seem to work that way.
in EQ1 i didnt see many resisted spells, But yet from a 5k nuke i would take alot less dmg than 5k even the same for dots, snares landed sometimes, but not always. i guess sony put more time to balance EQ1
Do Devs / GMs even look into this stuff? or only like once a year?

Re: wtf resists
Mez resists, dead. Don't really have anything to compare to that on any melee class do you?
