If you had ever payed attention to Coercers on PvP before the revamp, then you would have to admit they did need some help. They were a cloth class that relied on reactive damage, but without manashield, stoneskin, or any other damage prevention method that would still let reactives trigger. You can say mez and stuns prevent damage, but stunned and mezzed people won't trigger my reactives either.
As for the varsoons bit, like I said I took a break before GU 45 and came back two weeks ago, so if there is some new shard instance or what have you that involves varsoon, I don't know about it. I assumed that guy was talking about the T3 dungeon, so if that wasn't the case I apologise.
