A shame, I did like the suggested level locking. It's as close to hardcore PVP you can come I think, where all twinks have about the same gear and AA and 25+ at least gives the newer players some chance to learn the game without getting rolled. Of course, problems in class balance exists, but they'll never completly go away.

I don't get it why people complained about the registration, I thought people wanted hardco- Oh wait, they don't. They just want carebear pvp where they can have superior gear and always win :V

Shame it's postponed, but eh, I suppose we should've seen that coming. And can't really blame Ohl either (It's not like he's in charge of the whole game after all and thus can't completly control the decisions made).

Level locking is great for college students taking 4 or more credit hours, and working full time toi boot. Not to mention parents who have to work 60+ hours a week.
Sounds like both of these demographics have more important things to be doing than slaying nubs or internet dragonz.

Cancelled the way I read it. But, meh.

Nagafen will be fun when the server merge happens. From all the forum whining it seems everyone is masterbating in T8. I'll enjoy T3-T6..

Spyderbite, it's common knowledge that you don't actually PvP, so...

I'm sure they do, but everyone needs a release, don't they?

So i shouldn't be allowed to play the game in what little free time i do have between school and work? because since im busy progressing myself as a person and working towards a degree means i cant play video games now? right... this comment made you look so incredibly stupid.

I prefer the Level locking system the way it is now. you level with PvP kills. keeps people from farming new characters as much. My RL friend played the game with me about a year ago, but he quit because everytime he walked out of the crafting area, he got rolled fifty times.

I think it gives newer players a bit more of a chance.

As far as new players are concerned it would be best to not have T3 level lockers. A noob will be in T2 in 1 hour after downloading the game, its not like he knows the only way to not get rolled is to shut off xp and get aa/gear. Once he hits T3 and gets a better hold on the game, figures out you need to join a guild and learn class specific things he'll be in a better position to have fun in T4 and stick with the game.

Lvl locking getting put on the back burner or canned completely is gay! I know tons of players that roll a toon gear, spell, and aa out in matter of hours lock at 10 and pvp to mid 20s and then delete and reroll to stay in the lower tiers ganking. they would give that up if perma lvl locking was back. Some of those players are in silence guild on nagafen good side. the biggest one is Sufa. He is on his 8th sufa doing this. so the new players dont get a chance any freaking way.

Although i wasn't a level locker, i can't see why they had a valid reason to scrap this idea, it seemed like a viable way of upping the population on red servers, they even had a moderately secure rule-set..

Yes, when i first started out, i was getting slaughtered by Twinked out toons 8 levels higher than me in antonica, but i sucked it up and dealt with it.. it's the territory that comes with PvP, why other people cannot grasp that, i do not know..
