Level Locking Postponed Indefinitely

I think the proposed level locking plan had some potential. Not a fan of locking before Level 25 myself. But post T3 I think it might have been fun. Shame too many people had QQ about the restrictions and ruin it. Just goes to show that many people don't like to PvP unless they win every time.

But seriously I can see both sides. People wanted this, but at the same time, the PVP community flinging shit about probably drove Olihin to say "know what? no."

Yup. I supported a balanced, fair level locking system. Let's face it. Majority of lockers want to twink up and roll over noobs all day long. At least at level 25-35.. A new player has an opportunity to learn their class to some extent.

Not sit in the Graveyard in Freeport staring at a Revive screen scratching their ass for 100th time that day going "Wtf?".

I've seen EVE Online players run out of EQ2 screaming because of the level-lockers doing exactly that.

All that does is make a person fodder for raiders if they don't have time to raid.

Level locking is great for college students taking 4 or more credit hours, and working full time toi boot. Not to mention parents who have to work 60+ hours a week.
