Got it?

Most pieces (5/7) are 100 tokens. 20 writs.

20 * 10 mins = 200 mins

200 mins/60 = 3.33 hours

And you don't have to wait 10 mins for your first writ, or (with the way TG is these days) for your last one either.

Just to clarify, my post was a response to a guy in another thread who said that a piece takes 30 writs, which is 3 hours.

If you want 3 pieces of TSO gear in 1 night you better hope smart loot is on your side or your entire 24 man raid doesnt need any patterns so only yours drop.
He's right.

Saw Grendl get 6 set WOE in 1 night, have yet to see it with t4 but it works the same way. How many times has that happened? 1. How many times have I ran WOE? Too fucking many.

Hell I didn't have shit for tokens when the update hit (like 50), still enough to get chest and legs then got another piece that day with little to no effort.

I dunno, on one hand I'm glad cause it helps lessen the gear curve between players before expansion hits, on the other im like fuck i bet the guilds who have already cleared most tso content are pissed lol.

Personally, I was looking forward to clearing the tso content and getting the raid gear to pvp with, but now that the pvp gear is so easy to get? bleh.

But what about next expansion? If the current system stays in place (which I am assuming it is, this dev is completely retarded in terms of pvp mechanics and seems to be completely oblivious to any complaints so far) then it is going to unbalance the next tier so bad, end game equivalent gear in 1 week time as soon as you hit 90? No thanks.

This will not happen. SOE is interested in keeping people in the game as long as possible and they want us to raid instances month over month, run instances over and over, even on PvP servers.
You can say and think what you want about SOE but they aren't THAT dumb. What we now see is a big "summer sale", nothing more.

Best thing we can do is /feedback in game... and hope that I'm right and you are wrong

I definitely wouldn't call them dumb, but they certainly aren't marketing the game towards the hardcore playerbase. Is that dumb? Perhaps to us because when we see ourselves as wanting to quit because the game isn't what we want it to be we forget that the game is separated into two distinct groups: casual and hardcore. Losing our money is clearly bad for business, ya?

Combined, there is still a much larger percentage of subscribers that don't have the time/skill and/or motivation to raid anyway; yet they still cry that they want access to the best gear available.

I've seen TSO content tear undergeared players to shreds (1 shots, I play a druid, its bs). Gearing up a raid isn't easy. Unless (a) you've had it on farm as a guild (as many PvE guilds have) or (b) You're on PvP

It probably doesn't help that there isn't an overwhelmingly number of "high end pvp" types on test/betas testing the shit either. I mean who do you think is more apt to be on the SOE forums, the guy who just raped face telling the entire server how he owned x class at x level, or the guy that just got his ass penetrated by a x class -x levels below him? I bet the high level noob over the low level pro.

So, the real question is: What is SOE's main focus as far as content goes, what do the majority of the customers want?

I think we all know the answer to that one. It may not work out the way we want it to, but EQ2 isn't going anywhere as the vast majority doesn't "get it" as far as the hardcore mentality goes. They'll keep playing, especially as we inch closer and closer to true easymode, if we haven't already crossed the threshold.

Working months to kill a mob, to get an item, and to be the first to do so? Wahhh who cares, that class/item is too overpowered, nerf pls. Hardcore mentality seems to be losing it's appeal overall and I'm really not sure why. More and more people playing, more and more people wanting to win, more and more people not willing to work for it.

Just how I see it. Personally I'm gonna wait and see. As long as I'm the only one that has the gear I want for a few months come next expansion I'll be happy. Rape some face for a while, and if its truly as easymode as it is now as far as PvP gear goes (unless PvE gear is FAR superior), I may try another game.

It doesnt matter what SOE wants it is clear that this pvp developer is doing his own thing with no regard to other aspects of the game. How exactly is giving everyone amazing gear going to make them want to play for more then a week? The only reason MMO's are so great is because it is a giant time sink. When you just hand the shit out its like cheating, its fun for a week but you win the game, so who cares.

If it took longer then 2 days to get i would disagree, but right now you can just heirloom your tokens over to an alt that just hit 80 and never have to pvp with it. retarded system.
This info is false cause pvp tokens are NOT heirloom only the original ones were so no u cant pvp now to gear up an alt u have to drag ur alts ass out there and pvp (as they call it)

So when i drag my alt assassin out to get his gear while heelo's alt swash has not been on any raids and rarely gets played save to watch avatars but has better gear than most faction ones?

Heelo's alt is a brigand, you really good at paying attention =/

If you didnt have any tokens saved up before this update then it furthers proves you dont give a fuck about pvp, you just want the gear.
