Can't say i agree with this.... "shitty" and "non-raiders" seem to go hand in hand for most of u hardcore raiders....It gives the opportunity for pvpers to be able to obtain gear that should suit a pvper on a pvp server. I Always believed that it was stupid to have to raid to compete. Wish i could get those hrs back. But tbh raiding nowadays is just as quick if not a faster method to gearing up. You can't say you haven't seen alts grab 4-6 piece tso raid bonus's in the course of a week or 2. More pvp = win. Zergfest are for the birds but now peeps will leave their guild halls good shit SOE.

My term of "a shitty" player isn't someone who doesn't raid, hell if exiles had pvp gear I'd probably never raid. What I mean by a shitty player is that guy who is always out of group in the middle of an x2-3, or that guy who after you kill him hes back in the middle of the fight in 30 seconds. That's what I mean by a shitty player. Those players shouldn't get gear comparable to top end raid gear for doing nothing but zerging over and over till they get there full set.

Raiding is somewhat easier to get gear if your talking about tmc, if so then yes it only takes 30-45 minutes to clear it. The only problem is what if the pieces people need don't drop? we have to wait another 3-4 days to go back and try again. The same goes for the set legs and BP they aren't on smart loot so it doesn't help if it drops a piece that no one needs. Yes I see pieces go to alts all the time, i've seen the legs and BP pattern go to alts, because it didn't drop a piece that a main needed. As to where pvp gear, you sit at TG in the middle of the zerg, get a few hits on some pepl or AE, and you have your writ update. Now you just do that over and over for about 3-4 days with the current system and you'll have your full set in no time.

Now in my opinion this GU53 killed pvp for me. I like solo more than group pvp, but with this change its just Lavastorm all over again. Whats going on in TG isn't pvp its just a giant zergfest with massive lag that's it.

It never ceases to make me laugh when butt-sore kids whine on the forums about whatever doesn't give them a broken advantage in the game. You remind me of those asshole kids who clamored about level locking being taken out, because we all know it meant you couldn't hang out and kill new players learning how to play in one shot - to feel good about yourself.
You sound just like how a shadowknight player will whine that the "class is ruined" if it gets balanced. You have no pity from me, you just identify yourselves as what you are:
"Waah, I can't kill three players by myself because I am underemployed and overgeared." Awwwwwww, poor behbee ! Don't you realize how you sound? Go kick puppies and punk old ladies and quit beating around the bush.
Contrary to what your puerile minds believe: There are other people who want to have fun besides you. I am glad that now people who don't live off their mothers' incomes get a chance to have fun.

I think this will help making PVP battles more... Fair. I think the top raiding gear should be the best in the game, but having an option to solely pvp and get good equipment does help make PVP in general to be more balanced.

Gear shouldn't have a SUPER difference in terms of power and survivability to begin with anyway.

Of course, this doesn't stop people from contradicting themselves and call out "Carebear".

Hopefully they'll remove all writ givers in due time and just have 1 writ giver in each city.

Like I try to tell people who are flipping over the changes, these games arn't designed for people who game 5+ hours per day. The fact that SOE made it too difficult in the first place for the average gamer and now have to FIX it is questionable, but what can you do. Shitty situation if you spent all that time getting a full set before, but it makes me wonder how the hell you found the time. Most people couldn't, so they were undergeared. So now you'll have to play your class a little better to win in PVP, big deal. If you're elite, why worry? You can't replace the lost time, and you probably had nothing better to do anyways.

It helps preserve the game. The new expansion is right around the corner, this is temporary. I agree it is a big zergfest and it does kind of suck that the gear you got was kind of wasted time wise but w/e.

This is a pvp server, I agree with Caam on that point. I hate nothing more than elitsm. A lot of that is gone now and only whining remains of the past. The past is the past. Time to move on and patiently wait for Feb to roll around.
