    Default Talking DPS v1.0.0.3

    Download

    Speaks current raid/group or personal DPS for the current encounter using text-to-speech.

    Configurable options:
    • Report raid/group DPS or personal DPS
    • Speak current encounter DPS every specified number of seconds during an encounter.
    • Speak mob name, encounter duration, DPS, and number of allied deaths after the current encounter ends.
    Future ideas if enough interest is shown in this project:
    • Speak warnings when DPS rises above, or falls below, a given threshold.
    • Ability to easily modify what the plugin says and how it says it.

    Fixed exception bug when attempting to calculate DPS of a combatant who doesn't exist.

    I haven't tried it directly yet, but looking through the code it may be a good idea to reference the isImport parameter from the OnCombatEnd event and only do TTS if it is false. Otherwise you'll get a ton of TTS talking over each other when doing file imports. I admit that there isn't a way to fix that for timer method... but that should be considerably less annoying.

    I mean such as the Raid Leader UI in WoW, which can give out commands or AE / DPS / Event warnings.

    Everytime I run ACT with Talking DPS, I intermittently recieve an Illegal Operation error that crashes ACT. It seems to be within 5-10 minutes of starting, and it seems more likely to happen if I'm in a group or join a group after starting ACT.

    I've disabled saying encounter name or duration, or group dps. I just want it to say my current DPS after an encounter ends. Is Talking DPS sensitive about where in the parse 'tree' I am on the ACT main pane? As in, do I need to be on the Zone label, does it need to be sorted, etc.?

    I keep forgetting to get the full stack trace (I'm at work right now), but I don't think it was very helpful in terms of debugging.

    It's a shame, too, because I absolutely love Talking DPS when it's working. I hate the copy/paste or alt-tab mechanism just to see my DPS. I love that it can read it out to me.

    Where you are on the parse or how the list is sorted doesn't matter.

    I would need more info to even start to try to see if there is a problem with the plugin that would be causing it.

    Any and all error messages you get. What OS? Latest version of ACT? Latest version of the plugin? Does ACT crash regardless of what you're doing at the time? Just sitting idle? Engaged in combat? After combat?
