Wish I was at home to check this ingame, but since not, I took a look at this info in the mean time in hopes of numbers and details (
Allakhazam's Magical Realm: Everquest II: Guide: Achievement Abilities: EverQuest II Achievement Abilities ), and noticed that there's a few conditionals in the STA and WIS lines:
STA:
Spinning Spear: A melee spear attack that strikes all enemies surrounding the Hunter. Inflicts melee damage on targets in area,
if Spear equipped in Primary
Surrounding Attacks: Grants the Hunter an increased chance at attacking up to 4 enemies surrounding the Hunter with every auto-attack attempt. Affects multiple targets
as long as the Hunter is facing them and they are within melee range.
WIS:
Placating Strike: A melee
rapier attack that deals little damage, but lowers your target’s hatred toward you. Inflicts melee damage on target. Decreases Threat to target.
If Rapier equipped in Primary
Smoke Bomb: The Prowler creates a smoke cloud, interrupting enemies and placing the prowler into stealth. Hate with all nearby enemies is reduced.
*Decreases Threat to targets in Area of Effect by
418
*Interrupts targets in Area of Effect
*Decreases threat priority of target in Area of Effect by 1 position
*Applies Shroud on termination. Lasts for 36 seconds.
* Grants stealth to caster
* Suspends caster’s movement speed enhancements
It appears to me that the only truly useful ability of those would be the smoke bomb dehate in a raid situation, since I don't use a rapier or a spear.. or am I missing something useful to consider? The Sta one seems best suited to soloing, or group mobs for the extra attacks.. I think I missed where the extra 8% dmg comes in? Or is that it?
And int that much better over str, eh? I'm going to do some testing again, tonight
