A real life example using me

In raids, I am usually over 100 haste (131 w/o temp buffs), DPS around 50, Crits around 40 and DA at 18 (8 from AA and 10 from Dirge). I also have several other pieces of +CA gear but I only wear them b/c they also give either ranged crit or ranged DA.

What is the cap on +CA? With my set-up I should be looking for DA stuff right? Then crit and DPS as equal? I know enough to lay off the haste...haha.

for those if u thats say DPS > Crit are u taking into account gear you have that procs dps? when all my gear procs + dps mods i have up to 68 dps selbuffed, and they proc often enough tbh, if u take into account the smoldering oilstones which give +10 dps for 15 mins then thats 78 Dps mod, and i run with 72 haste perma, when haste ring procs thats 96 haste, thus wont crit > DPS?

Anyone got a list of DA items? Doing ok for crit items and snare/stuns for soloing, but struggling with DA.

let's help SoE out, they obviously want us to drop the bows and start swinging at shit with our .. like.. half dozen melee ca's.... Rangers are the new Assassins

There is more gear that benefits rangers than anytime before in this expansion.
With our usually setup (bard, illu) we can get up to ~60% ranged DA and ~60% ranged crit easily.

Lol, there may be more ranged shit on gear than ever before, but the same can be said of melee. The disparity between the amount of bonuses melee can get and the amount rangers can get is as bad as ever, and that's really the relevant comparison here.

Yes there's more ranged stuff than ever, but inspect your local swashy. He has loads of melee shit, but 99 times out of 100 his his way way better stats than your ranged item.

Anyone recomend some range DA items? I must be close to quested out in RoK and all I'm finding are crit items.

Inspect your local brawler.... They run around dual wielding with around 30%+ double attack.... WHILE DUEL WIELDING!!!!

Azleya was accurate and correct in what was said. The only thing you didn't mention much in your post was +CA damage.

Given that Maestro's flame is still the best option (fuck that dagger you guys cream over) for a Ranger's primary, you would think that other +CA damage gear would be significant. If the Flame is adding 4% to our over-all dps, imagine if we could get that number higher? 200 or so? That would be pretty good I think. Not so good that I would sacrifice the otherthings, but good enough to put in places that I may be lacking that.
