My point was, in the previous post, how many of the rangers such as the ones that argued with me in the past would be eating their words now. With a bow with no minimum range means there is absolutely no reason outside of Mob Scripts, for a ranger to not be in mCA range.
I shelved the Ranger about half way through EoF actually. Guild needed a Dirge so that's what I've been playing. Grown tired of being a Dirge and getting no respect for my top reses, decent heals and making parses... so back to Ranger I went, and loving every minute of it. The fact my 73 ranger can cut down a lv.80 before they can get a hit off on me says that overall Rangers aren't all that bad off. Some things still need worked on of course, and if you're a min/max player then a lot of things need to be worked on.. but that's the way it goes.

This post is retarded.
First off, our bow having no minimum delay is only for auto attacks. It used to be that the CA's were also effected by this minimum, but after careful and thorough testing that took a terrible amount of time (2 days) Sony decided to strip the minimum delay link to bows, and instead gave an absolute mimimum of 2 meters.
So in essence, we're back to where we started, because maximum range for melee ca's coincides with minimum ranged ca distance for most of our CA's, Stream and Coverage being the exceptions.
For 2 days we were allowed to hug the mobs ass, and it was awesome in a pseudo-homosexual sort of way.
As it stands we're back to where we were before, making the 0m minimum range for our epic bows auto-attack, completely pointless. Doing half our dps just to hug a mobs ass = redundant so good job Sony.
Now your other argument is that Ranger's aren't all that bad off because you can kill solo mobs real easy.
Most casters that can root nuke can make the exact same argument, and it's not a really good one. First off, distance is a huge factor, mostly because killing a mob is a matter of time. Just about everything in this game can be attributed to time, proc rate, dps, refresh timers, etc. Distance means a lot in a game of time, because it takes time for the mobs to breach that distance, during which you can do your damage to them. Of course the Ranger would excel at this, having the best movement rates, the best damage at range, and the best ability to mitigate a mobs movement compared to their own.
Saying we're ok at soloing does not mean we're ok at everything else, and this has been the contention of a lot of Ranger's for some time.
