Make Heroic Opp Chains start/finish on ranged CAs also since lazy melee scouts always steal Swindlers Luck when they dont bother their arse to start them.
Nice post though hope some Dev looks into it.

Don't often post in here but this is worthy post and gives me hope. While itemization I think has been better in tier 8 there are some items which make no sense giving nice +ranged crits or DA but no str which puts us even further behind on str curve. Some of these items are:
Mana Infused Star
Desecration Bracelet
Coiled Steel Shoulderguards
Wish there were more I could add but thats all off the top of my head. The post looks solid Hexus, good job.

I went throught the loot databases for the t1-t3 zones . I found ,
except for the Predator Set, 4 Fabled Items!!!!! that are beneficial to a
ranger. Helmet with 4% ranged Crit, Shoulders with 5% ranged Crit
from Protectors realm, Leggs with 4% ranged Crit and Manaward from
t2 zone temple and a Ring from Throneroom thas 3% ranged crit and
3 ranged Double Attack but Stats for Tanks. There 1,2 Items that are
beneficial to all scouts like the belt from realm with +Ca dmg. In the
same zones i found 20+ melee items Armor,jewelry,weapons, which
says alot about whats going wrong. Ranger in casual raidforces will
have it moch more difficult to gear up than their melee counterparts.
I found it very funny that Assasines!!!! were complaining, in different
forums, that theres to much ranger stuff pre t8 raid than for assasines.

So in theory 1 ranger usable item vs 5 melee scout items sounds right. I mean it will suck finding the 1 thing out there in each table, but once you have it, nobody wants to see it again, vs the 5 other classes that are fighting over the melee stuff.
As long as the items are out there and dont suck compared to the melee compliment I'm happy enough. The lack of STR seems to be a pretty big concern atm, and bows without a 9 sec delay anymore are just ftl. Saw some silversomething recurve, the most appealing bow proc wise, but crushed by weak top end damage. Obviously no ranger would use that, and is that what they intended? Why do the proc effects on the longer delay bows we would want just...suck?
Itemization so far just seems to be such a fucking tease, and as more and more tables are being discovered this joke is starting to be less and less funny.

TBH I could live with the current itemization issues we see. What I can't live with is this arrow mechanic thing as well as our complete lack of ability in keeping up with sorcerer/assassin dps. Not to mention illusionists creeping ever closer. I have no idea how much DPS an arrow fix would add, hopefully it would get us more in line. However, I would really like to see them give ranger something to give us a little dps boost as well as that. If the arrow fix goes in next update, then I can wait til epics for the 2nd part. I'm thinking maybe +30 ranged on our epic weapon! or a bow that has a proc/spread that will make us at least competitive again dps wise.
To all the assassins/sorcerers that come here and bitch that the ranger in their guild does more DPS than them. There are 2 possible reasons:
1. The ranger is getting the dream illus/dirge/inq grp, and with said grp should be blowing you away unless you also have your dream grp. (AKA the 3 classes that would buff you for the most added DPS).
2. You suck, so stfu.

Silvertipped Recurve bow should be fixed to 9s delay. It's sad to look at that thing with such nice stats and proc then see it's a waste because some fool put a 7s delay on it.

Silvertipped Recurve is complete Junk until there is an arrow to go with it, you will do more damage with Rigid Scale (9.0 Delay or 7.0 Delay) until there is an Arrow Fix. Unless you just like the stats.....

No shit sherlock. But that is a seperate issue that has been line itemed out multiple times here and elsewhere already. Fixing a bow with an actual good proc on it to being worthwhile needs to be done also. Because if / when they ever do fix arrows it'd be nice to have some better bow upgrades available also.

Arrow fix should be the number one priority, its an ongoing problem every tier, the next should be either giving rangers real utility or revamping AA lines to increase or dps....and/or as i think Miller had suggested a while ago giving an all around increase to Ranger CA dmg. After that shit gets fixed, ill care about items being equalized for melee and ranged classes, but thats the least of my concern.
