I got the Eagle's Talon bow tonight.. and.. well.. I'm so disappointed to say the least.

Equipping it makes me loose no less than 500 max damage on my ranged attack. When are the devs going to realise that there is absolutely NO upgrade for rangers in this expansion as far as DPS is concerned.

The absolute only thing we can look forward to is maybe a bit more str and int, a bit more mitigation, a bit more resist and on the rare occasion a little bit more double attack.

All in all that doesn't help one bit.

It is a sad and sorry truth that the only thing we bring to a raid is our DPS and we are 10 levels behind in that regard. We have no utility at all. NONE. Not one thing we can bring to a raid that benefits others. Not ONE thing we can do to a mob that another scout class can do better.

It is about time SoE understands what they are doing to my beloved class and makes us what we should be. Give us our Tier 8 arrows. And don't mess with our damage because in the end it is all we have.

Ultimately I guess I didn't expect this bow to actually override the fundamental flaw in arrow mechanics, such as it is. But there was always a hope that SoE would do the right thing and give us something special for a change. And while they are at it treat us like paying customers.

(Epic) Epic Quest:

1. Barkrich Oakleaf: -749 15 1904 Fens

2. Subquest: Get 25 Rilissian belts. They are (fortunately) 100%-chance updates off presumably any Rilissian. I just mowed down the solo advancers near the front of the zone. This took my Riliss faction from 50,000 to 48,750. Return to Barkrich.

3. Quest journal says, "I need to seek out the Rune of Stamina from a race that is perceived as spindly. Ryvenar gave me the impression that this foe would still need to be quite powerful to spin such a rune."

"The Rune of Stamina seems as though it would be used by a race that would need greater endurance. Stamina is the thread of life spun by fate!"

This is quite clearly Tomb of Thuuga when you consider the really obviously suggestive wording. When I initially got the quest, the things the ranger guy said can only lead me to conclude that after Tomb of Thuuga is Venril, followed by 2 dragons in VP. There was no hint as to which dragons it would be.

There is an error on the page one summary post. The loc for the map update in stormhold library is -117 -32 -141. The summary lists it as 117 -32 -141. =)
