Hot Fix
Notice that in this hot fix, they address the ranger epic min CA range only days after it was released. However, the praetors guard and its 100% proc rate that is doing ~1000dps zw for illusionists and almost that much for other mages, is not mentioned. Why is it that the illusionist class continues to get more and more dps, while rangers continue to get shit on and can't get a simple arrow fix for months, yet can get nerfed in days?
GAMEPLAY- All NPCs are now respawning correctly.
- Low-memory countermeasures will kick in faster on Windows.
ITEMS- The Veil of Seeing Eye book will now go to the illusionist's overflow if their inventory is full.
- Ranged combat arts will now enforce a minimum range when Eagle???s Talon is equipped.
QUESTS- Defilers will be able to find their obsidian!
- Dirges, take note! The everlasting quill has gained popularity.
- Templars now may find Lolindiir's remains at another location.
- Mizzog will now speak to exile defilers without Freeport faction.
- Scholars who die within the Library of Light while working on their errands for Neeta will now revive within the library.

I was under the impression that this was a feature of the epic, not a bug. Having said that, yea, I absolutely agree, it's amazing how quickly this shit is getting nerfed for rangers, and yet the numerous problems with the class have existed for months to years continue to persist with no announced fix. Hit rates and arrow mechanics have been a problem for months and proc/itemization issues have been at large for years. Apparently these issues aren't important enough to fix asap, but a relatively minor range issue is. Before anyone says this was a simple, 5-minute fix and those other problems are more complicated and that is why they aren't fixed yet, bullshit. While it may be true that they're somewhat more complicated, if the devs actually gave a flying fuck about the ranger class, they would have these issues addressed by now. It's quite simply absolutely inexcusable to have such a double standard set, to get on nerfs asap but leave detrimental problems out there forever.

I've been trying to hold out, and have faith, that we would get some love after the nerf chain that has been goin on recently. But this is just ridiculous, days after the weapon is released its nerfed. And it took them HOW long to get these out and implemented? You figure that they would have tested everything and balanced things out but no. Meele DPSers moan about the "band-aid" to the broken arrow mechanics and now we get the shaft once again.
Now we have 3 meters to play with to get all the benefits from our "uber" epic. I don't know about everyone else but I think its either time for me to betray or just move on to be honest. At least if I betray I know I'll have a dev that plays my class and makes sure we get some awesome stuff.

god fucking damn soe! why the fuck is the priority #1 for rangers? cause every fucktard melee petitions it? I've also normally been optimistic about maybe getting a good fix in sometime soon but this really makes me want to quit more than ever.
Whoever is in charge of this change is a total fucking tool, they cant be confident enough in their good item design to stick with it and give the other ppl the finger instead and say " STFU you little bitches, I made this item how I wanted it and its staying!" nooooooo, within 24 hours of the discovery the standout, uniquie bit of awesomeness with this bow on test server to be nerfed to fuck.
Others have said it already, but no fix for arrows, no fix for hit rates, no fix for the raincaller step to even get the damn thing, no fix for the other broken items that have been in much longer and are infinitely more obvious. If they fix arrows and make this bow summon what would be t9 ammo I'll take this bullshit range change, if not. leave this bow alone till you are ready to make some real fixes plz.
this makes me mad.

QFE. And nerfed within a day!? What happened? Too many melee petition? Jesus. How about SOE fix stuff to work as actually intended, instead of excuses to keep us in "check", when we're obviously falling behind non-tier-1-dps classes, and that's BEFORE the melee-loving raid buffs going off on how many other epics? Seriously.

It's very annoying that this issue is given higher priority than the broken Raincaller quest and the arrow mechanic.
I don't know how the 'team' thought this action, in the face of our current issues, would be perceived, but obviously nobody with any idea of what's important to the players.
It's probably PvP related - 'myar myar, Rangers can hit us point blank myar myar'.

if it is cause of PvP then change it for PvP i dont see why they have to fucking change it a day or 2 after it's released. Worthless and uncalled for nerf that doesn't even have to be made. FUcking assassin gets a proc that makes them hit multiple times...the no range is made for our fucking effect...LEAVE it alone...fucktards. k i feel better.
