Are you fucking kidding me Dantel? I have my Ranger, and I have a Brigand. Ive solo'd, grouped and raided with both. Granted, Im not on a PVP server, but the survivablity of a rogue with, or without a healer, is so much better then that of a ranger. And I say this with a very well off Ranger, and Scrap Fabled on my Brig. If the Brig had half the gear the ranger did... look out.

If I had to pick which one to duo with, I'd have to say the Swashy. Not because Im anti-ranger, but because its the truth. The duo will just work out better. Stuns, Taunts, Debuffs and DPS all from one toon that never has to move. Rangers can do what? Hope to burn down a target before they get in range? Kite? Or chase the target as they run away? The more that healer has to move to heal, the more of a pain in the ass healing becomes.

Just wanted to add. I've also been boxing my Brig with my Templar. So I know thats a decent combo.

Notice the OP was asking for a pvp duo standpoint, might be better if he asked people with actual experience eh?

You do understand focus aim doesn't work in pvp? You do understand you have to stand still to use ranged CAs? Learn what you're talking about before giving clueless opinions about how rangers pwn in pvp. Now, back to your easymode static internet dragons that do the same shit everytime cause you lack any real skill =) <----smiley face for good measure.

Actually before quitting I played on PvP quite a bit. I also know what I'm capable of soloing as a Ranger. I have also played a Brigand and know of all the nasty little solo ability they have.

However since the argument was about fagot Swashbucklers and not Brigands, we'll stick to how I would rather have a Ranger than a Swash.

Given PvP mechanics and how things work, I'd still play a Ranger over either Rogue.

Well duh, rangers are one of the most powerful if the not the most powerful solo class. But as soon as you add another person into the mix the warden would be far better with either rogue support. As the group gets bigger the ranger gets less and less useful until it becomes raid pvp then the ranger is once again powerful.

Rangers are great in PvP solo, but I'd go with brig as a team. Brigs can take more of a beating and put out good DPS. Not to mention stun...stun....stun.
