Any word on Fixing da Gimped rangers

Hey, I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I am leading raids and because Rangers have 0 benifit to a raid force and consistantly parse like POO. I have been forced to remove the ranger from our Line up.

I feel bad because the guy trys his ass off but when he is consistantly getting out parsed by Dirges and Troubs it was time for a change. I tried bringing in another Ranger just to give the class one last chance but no change in benifit or DPS. I would like to bring this guy back becuase he has attended over 100 raids with us but until SOE fixes the class no one wants you.

Has anyone seen any Devs discussing actually changing rangers to where they dont suck so bad in T8?

Im not looking for asshat responces, a link to where a dev has reported to say something about changing the machanics of rangers (Bows, arrows, CA Damage) would be great.

Im sorry all you rangers are getting the shaft for 2 striaght years but I feel even worse for the people that have had to fill a spot with a raid ranger just cuase your a nice guy. Stop holding us back... hehehe

I just want to say, that isn't a problem with Rangers, but a problem with YOUR ranger being a piece of shit. Rangers aren't doing anywhere near as bad as you just said, they just aren't matching up to Wizards, and Assassins. They can do a lot of DPS, and if you have 1 that is being beaten by Bards, it's time to boot him and replace him with a different person. It's not the class there, but the player.

If EQ2players is correct on levels and contributed status then as stated above your ranger is garbage. his gear choice is melee heavy and his bow is trash, Your other ranger seems to be doing a little better in the itemization department.

This is exactly the kind of bullshit that should tell you Ranger's aren't <easy button> dps. It takes some skill and effort to do good dps as a Ranger.

We can't all be fagot Swashbucklers :D

Send your ranger to eq2flames. this site helped me emensly since I only really started raiding seriously about a year ago. I went from 1.5k dps in EoF to 3k dps in a matter of weeks. Group makeup didnt change gear didnt change but my performance and overall knowledge did. Thank you EQ2Flames you guys are great..
Though rangers are in dispair over key isues holding us back.. We are still a viable dps option if utility is not a factor... All through EoF and now into Kunark the highest dps in my guild would be the "2" raid rangers. Mind you we havent broken out of T2 yet but to think a ranger would ever be beaten by a bard is just wrong. Im not gonna say rangers are harder or easier to dps then any other class .. Ive played a Ranger and a Brig on raids. In all situations you can tell a drastic difference between the good and the "not so good" of each. Anybody that takes there class seriously and wants to be great does the research and practices a style can be great. My ranger now parses over 4k zonewides and spikes above 5k in the caster group.

QFE really, your rangers must really suck to get beat by bards...

Im not really sure a ranger could be aoutparsed by a bard when even just auto attacking with any fabled t7 bow....
I guess it's possible but...

Are you saying there is nothing wrong with ranged machanics?

I'm not trying to start a ongoing thread of arguing back and forth but my guild really doesnt have alot of flexability and we run typically the same raid set up all the time. I'm just thinking it would be more benificial to MY Guilds set up not to run a ranger. I'm not saying a ranger cant parse well but there are several other classes that can put up the same or better dps and contribute more to the raid force as a whole.

They just need to find a nitch for rangers

FYI we ran with a illy in our scout group last night where we had our ranger and not only did our Illy parse over 3k raidwide he had a few others in his group benifiting from his buffs putting up even more dps.

Last nights group was
