Yep, there's changes upcoming with this update for Arrows (as well as a couple other Ranger changes) and you'll know more about it this Friday when a sneak peek's coming for 44.

I shall containt my excitement/rage/fury/frustration until it's in-game a few days, because you know if something is "overpowered" about it they'll fix the ranger class in about 2 days tops.

There's another post and another thread associated pointing out there seem to be more than just changes affecting Arrow mechanics coming. It will be interesting to see what else is changing and how if affects overall class / game balance.

these other changes is what kinda worries me and will be interested to see...

If you read the SOE ranger boards, Aerlick made some vague comments about the other fixes.

1. Are CAs are being upped in damage. How much or which ones? I do not know but I bet this means that they somehow managed to nerf our auto-attack while fixing the arrows and compensated by upping our CAs. I dont care as long as there is a net gain.

2. He also said we were going to get some type of utility and then mentioned both the hawk and focus aim. This scares me. I dont want him messing with Focus Aim.

yeah i read this which is why i placed that comment there gonna attempt to fix arrow machancs while fucking every thing else up respectily. which in soe eyes is a job well done

They are also posting that rangers should move over to test with /testcopy in order to provide feedback on the changes when they hit the test server.

That will give us maybe 2 weeks to provide feedback. I don't see anything changing based on that feedback in such a short time period, but hey I'm not a dev so maybe I'm wrong about that.

relates to everything being discussed here I would think, and I have to agree with Azleya if things don't get adjusted seriously before they go live. Man talk about thinkin' your gettin' dinner when the whole time you're just gettin' fucked!

I am really starting to wonder if they will ever allow a dev that understands this class to get involved in it, if there is one.

You know, in the entirety of the time I played this game, about 3 years, I went to the official forums twice.

First time to set-up my account.

Second time from a direct link here in EQ2flames to comment on them being asshats.

Fuck SOE and their forums heh.
