Re: Confusion Regarding Poisons
They reverted the proc rate change on test, to what is currently being used on live..at least a day or so ago iirc.

3rd. With the proc rate change. How will this affect poisons?

Simple (maybe) answers.
1. Diminishing returns starts on this around 800 int, as with most everything else.
2. +spell damage and +spell crit haven't effected our poisons for a long time, the ONLY exception is our INT line which is specifically for poison-proc-based spell damage. It does count for spells, when rangers cast spells, but we have 0 damage spells and only get use of this during Leviathan outside of poisons. (There are better suited classes tbh with 80%+ crit) Maybe if your raid troub uses raidwide PoTM and you have time to spam the 3 abilities that we have that count as spells: Hawk Attack, Rope, and Spy.
3. If the proc rate change goes live at 5.33, that will be about a 40% reduction in procs overall for Ranged.

Re: Confusion Regarding Poisons
Your post is rather inaccurate hexus...
2. +Spell Crit affects the poison's crit rate.
3. The proc rate changes have been removed from Test server.

Re: Confusion Regarding Poisons
Since you seem to not be able to read or remember what you yourself posted I'll enlarge the inaccuracy.

So what you posted means that only some spell crit affects the crit rate of poisons, that spell crit from the int line, but other spell crit doesn't...?
Yeah... Wrong.
As for proc rate changes.... maybe you should read up on how it is a moot point because those changes are not going live.

Re: Confusion Regarding Poisons
poison-proc-based spell damage? where the fuck have you read that bullshit? spellcrit is spellcrit... all procs that do magic dmg are spells (not sure, but even procs that do melee dmg, like talonsstrike are spellcrit based) and are based on int and spellcrit.
Have you ever watched the crit rate of flamesong for example? no? ok, do it, its probably around 60% with a bard .

Re: Confusion Regarding Poisons
Do you guys just like bickering and arguing?
Do I have to explaing every fucking minutae of it for you to get it?
Originally being discussed were +spell crit and +spell damage on items.
Are we still talking about that or have we moved on to someting else?
I clearly stated that the bonus from the int line effects our spell damage...
The only items providing a bonus to poison proc damage at current are items like the Sebilite Croaking Dirk, if you were wearing a hat with +50 poison spell damage, it would not effect your poison proc damage, your AA's would however as would any buffs that increase proc rates.
Christ wept.....
