with the changes is the fabled Eagles talon finally better than RSB? i've not logged to check yet..

I haven't hit a damn thing yet, but....

I logged in for a short bit after the patch and although I understand simply looking at the weap stats does not indicate directly, I did the following....

Equip'd RSB, Fabled Epic & Vol'Drath
Used ferrite bodkin arrows
NOTE: Umbral Darkness now rated level 65 and shows a much reduced output from a stat stand point

RSB = 831-2,832
Eagle's Talon (fabled) = 822-2,736
Vol'Drath = 752-3,401

Before anyone jumps all over me, I never profess to know as much about the mechanics as some of you gurus do, but it looks to me based on the above, that of those 3 Vol'Drath is a better choice than RSB now. Obviously the Mythical epic will be the winner, but it always was anyway.

Vol'drath shows about the same rating it did before I left, several months ago heh. So they did what I figured they would, notched everything below 80 down dropping our total AA dps.

And upped our CA damage? From what I gather people are doing more damage, and it doesn't look like from Arrows, so it must be from the CA's?

So it took them over 4 months to do what I and a few others suggested a while ago? Drop AA damage and up CA damage, uber.

I find my DPS slightly better. I'm a pretty solid #3 on the parse without pulling agro. I hate that the RSB got nerfed at the same time the ammo fix went in. Now I'm left with the fabled epic until I can get the Mythical. Ive seen some better bows drop but there is not alot of motivation to get those in rangers hands. The mind set seems to be that rangers dont need these bows because they will have thier mythical bow sooner or later.

I think the Devs did a good job upping our DPS just enough to make us where we should be and giving us a small group utility. Still have to bust ass to get there, but I think we are where we should be ATM.

Im pretty sure your eagles talon isn't better than RSB because it isnt adorned.

I been usiing both the epic eagles talon and voldrath. Voldrath is running higher ,but only used it in soh, so with lag in there dont know the real difference yet. I hope to get in vp this weekend and see the difference.
Dont have the myth yet. As for the changes i find them to be good so far and doing a bit more dps. But i havent had optimal raid groups since patch to tell for sure. Has anyone been trying different arrows since the patch to see if any changes to the different styles?

I use field point all the time now. I'm only killing yellow or better mobs, so I see no point in switching out arrows. I morn the loss of my DT ammo! I may go farm some seeds to test out the lvl of tenderwood arrows.

If you are at a comfortable level of DA (40+) I've seen that RSB / SDLB + DT ammo can keep up if not surpass the ET thanks to extra 5% hit and just about even damage, but that was with only a few pulls worth of parses and I didn't look at the details, will do that when I get home.
Vol'Drath however with ferrite field is tops for non-mythical hands down.
