AA set up
Hey all,
My current AA build is:
STR - 8
AGI - 4, 5, 8, 8, 1
INT - 8, 8, 8, 8, 1
Any suggested changes to that spec to max DPS?

Re: AA set up
I would take any extra points you have from the int line and stats and push all towards melee crit, so you would have max melee, spell, ranged crits with poise and intox.

Re: AA set up
That would be:
Str 4 4 4 8
Agi 4 4 6 8 1
Int 6 4 4 8 1
With 1 point left to put where you want, I put my last point into Int for 7 4 4 8 1.

Re: AA set up
Hi im a new ranger to eq2. I a was a ranger on eq 1. Anyway I understand the Str and the Agi lines to go. And I understand getting the min int to get the poison line. But why go over 4 int what does int do for us?
In my opinion I would stick at 4 int, go down the poison line minamal till crit, then hit str and agi hard. What am I not getting. thanks

Int increases poison damage.

As others have said you are wasting points with 8 in intelligence, 8 in the armor coating and 8 in run speed. Consider this:
str 4/6/4/8
agi 4/6/4/8/1
int 4/6/4/8/1
with 1 left over. I put it into PBS since it is our highest damage CA in the pred tree. I sit in the sweet spot nad fire off all melee CAs. I wont them all to do the most damage possible.

Question on this, as I've seen people talk about sitting in the sweet spot and hitting ranged and melee CAs. Don't we dps more if we ranged auto attack when not hitting an ranged CA? I would think switching to and from Melee, even for CAs, would hurt our DPS...

You never melee AA. You sit in the sweet spot where all your melee CAs, ranged auto, and ranged CAs work. You time all of your attacks between your ranged AA. If you dont use your melee CAs, there will be times when you are sitting there doing nothing waiting for ranged AA to go off.
The sweet spot is now needed for max DPS since Aerlick upped all the damage on our melee CAs. This also makes the crit in the str line a must have now.
Example (4s delay bow)
1s - ranged AA
2s - snaring
3s - blame
4s - precise
5s - ranged AA
6s - longblade
7s - kunark
8s - mortal
9s- ranged AA
I just made up the CA combo to give you an example. This way you never lose ranged AA but get in all your other attacks.

Re: AA set up
Bah. It was enough work timing ranged CAs only...
I am right, though, that our Ranged CAs should still be our bread and butter CAs? Melee CAs only when our timers are down on our big hit ranged?
