The benefit of the STR vs INT would be? Did they change the STR endline? I always thought that the STR endline only affected 2 CAs. Sniper and Shower. I am not sure of the intricate situations of this line.

Shower on a reduced reuse timer can prove to be a nice benefit, especially considering the amount of multi mob encounters in TSO, with Avatars being no exception. Having shower come back up that often thru an encounter like that can drive up your parse if you can hit those large amounts of adds with Shower that often . That was my reasoning, i cant speak for Safanah. Also not to mention, the end line INT ability is a pain in the ass to try and recast on avatars and any other mob that keeps your ass stunned or stifled for more then half the fight.

So through VP better to use INT, if your NOT taking down Avatars, and once into TSO go STR?

As you can see in my recent parse i casted shower 9 times in like 15mins, which is below 2min recast (got jcap). Each was around 20k. With 3mins recast i could have done around 6-7 showers (including jcap) which would have been 40-60k less dmg. Also taking away the dmg boost from perfectionist avg hit would be around 17,5k which would be another 15k dmg loss. So you end up with losing like 75k only from shower.
I casted sniper 2 times (wasnt up a 3rd time within the trash fighting) so i would not have lost any recast (for that parse that is). Take away the dmg boost from the ~50k avg hits would result in like 45k avg hit, which is another loss of 10k dmg.
Some mobs were dieing in less than 30sec so intox wouldnt do its full potential - in that 15mins i could have cast intox like 8 times, so it had to do around 10k damage at all, which is nearly impossible for like 5-6ticks.

But thats only for that specific parse and my experience with our raid, if your fights take longer that may vary.

I see your point. Currently our fights are a bit longer, but we are not VP geared as of yet and not all Mythed either, so I "usually" get the full time run out of Intox. I think once our raid wide DPS goes up a bit, I may switch back over to STR (which is saved on my AA mirror).

So does the damage increase only happen with those 2 CAs or all CAs get a boost?

Just those 2.

It reads "Attack-based combat arts on long reuse timers have their reuse times sped up by 50% and damage increased by 15%"

Only Shower and Sniper fall into the "long reuse" category.
