It's because of Signet of Betrayal chain procs. The item makes a big difference for any support or dps class' aggro.

No, not really actually. High dps scouts with external de-aggro buffs on them can still pull aggro off a guard MT using that ring, even if the guard is parsing very high.

I haven't had too much of an agro problem with it. I even did a pick up SoH raid last night an only pulled agro once.
