I obtained it last nite and been playing around with it but dont seem to be gaining anything dps wise, whats everyone think about this vs the thuuga necklace which has some really good stats, thanks all.

Just by calculation you should gain around 4-5% DPS overall (with mythical my autoattack DPS is around 50-55%). It also works for procs (quickshot, caustic) so all your non autoattack DPS should get a 10% increase. But you lose like 4% ranged crit and some +CA dmg (stats dont matter that much in raid imho). The lose of 4% ranged crit would result in a DPS loss of around 1-1,5% DPS (while ago i calculated the dps gain of 1% ranged crit: ~0,3%). So I would say you will gain about 2% ZW. But thats just theory.

Sounds like its not worth losing hp each time and having a healer keeping u alive for that bit of dps, oh well, thanks Safana.

The hp loss isnt any worry after resists are applied. Most high end enchanters use this item, and with a chronomancy spec they fire off spells insanely fast. And again most high end healers in DPS groups heal with 3-4 members using this item.

The damage is probably less that you'd imagine.

Some priests would dps more then 3-4 people gain in dps from using that item when they dont have to heal them imho.

Keep in mind the choker is slightly more risky for predators due to the spell crit aa :D

There's a hotfix coming in that's addressing an issue with the damage sometimes being more than 5% iirc.

And I honestly don't think that a healer can out-dps the gain of an entire group of chokers.

did training wall testing verses choker and thuuga.
i did 4.1k with the choker, 3.6 without. did 10 kills nonstop with the choker, with some power feeding from a group member. for thuuga i did 4 kills and ran out of power too fast, assuming i wasnt doing enough dps. but the average of the 4 kills were when i had power, and it's still less. So from the run choker is better.

true, regardless, apprently btc is bugged atm, doing 30% to ca's, would explain the huge difference.
