Well untill i see rangers parsing 9k+ on any rok raid they really are not equal to assassins in dps. But rangers do have bonuses that assassins dont also.

As I say often, who cares if assassins spike into 10-15k as long as they lose the ZW... ZW is what matters and not some high spiking single parse.

For the most part I think assassin's at least in my guild, will always own me on melee trash mobs, but gear for rangers is different than for melee classes, as there isnt much rda till u start raiding. My gear for the mostpart isn't on par with the assassin's avatar gear and full set hehe.

Its not hard at all to break 9k as a ranger...

Having played both I'd say the DPS is about equal zw, depending on the encounters and group setup.

Ranger is a lot easier to parse on though.

Named parses is what matters.

Who the fuck cares about zonewides? I'd rather have someone who's going to deliver on difficult encounters instead of some fucking trash.

DPSing on a few nameds and afking for trash? lol, except for maybe PR trash is like 80-90% of the time you raid instances. I did not say that nameds dont matter. You might include them into your ZW unless they are not stupid encounters like in VP where i exclude them (dmg shield, only ranged, people clicking stuff etc)

Dunno, haven't raided since EoF. It's one thing to look at zonewides to see if someone isn't putting out a fair share of DPS on trash to get you through a zone quicker, but who really cares who does more DPS on some pointless mob anyhow?

It's the DPS on the difficult encounters which is important, not the zonewide.
